there are now projection screens in cdr-king. 72". i bought an electronic screen from them for 4.9k, but cannibalized it to use the tubular motor for automatic horizantal masking for 2.35 viewing on my fixed screen.
I was planning on buying from them as well. The 72" one seems perfect for me as my screen's size is 72" diagonal (60"x42", 1.43:3 ratio). But I don't know about the quality of the projection screen itself. I went to The Brain in Virra Mall and they had a Da-Lite and ClearView screen there. I was interested in getting the ClearView 60"x60", but they didn't have the specs of the screen. Same goes for the Da-Lite. They didn't even know what model they had there.
Anyone else know where to get screens? I'm seriously considering the DIY route now. You know, blackout cloth + plywood panels. Pretty cheap and I heard it's pretty good. I'm not bothered with using matte white at this point since my projector is DLP + LED. Really, really good contrast ratio compared to the 3LCD + UHP and DLP + UHP commercial projectors I've seen. So no need to go gray for me.
P.S. To the DIYers here, what is the width of the panels of your DIY screens? I'm considering just a 2" width and 0.75" thick plywood panel. Is this good enough to hold the stapled blackout cloth together?
