Now a days... The pioneer of Limited Edition/Unique Packaging/Stylish Packaging Comes from Asia Countries such as

Hong Kong/Korea/Japan add Philippines to it now that they started with "Troy LE"

The Phil Troy LE is a good start but I hope they will continue to produce more unique LE that will make Phil as a standalone country that will gain popularity similar to Korea/Japan/HK.  ;)

For the best DVD release for this Korean film entitled "THE HOST" ?

For the right region/release for the popular Japan film Death Note (1&2)?

For the right region/release for the popular Japan film Death Note (1&2)?

for preorder,

Death Note Complete Set Limited Edition DTS (Korean Version)

there's also a jap release w/c has better freebies,

Death Note / Death Note: The Last Name Complete Set (Japan Version)
This 4-disc boxset comes with feature films Death Note and Death Note: The Last Name, a special CD, a booklet, and a bonus disc with making of and other extras.

but there's no subtitle available  :P ;D >:(

sir xage, have you watched both films? is it worth buying? it's $39.99 in yesasia and $34+ in dvdheaven, can't seem to find any cheaper offer. i haven't watched both films (or even the anime) but its rating in imdb is averagely ok (7+)

Sir,I have not seen it but I got a recommendation from a friend that its a must! I heard that it was a boxoffice in Japan, HK and Singapore

I preordered mine at Yesasia last month however I retract it after finding out that the Japan release dont carry SUBs... Now I have re-ordered again with the "Korean LE" (thanks again Sir, for the link)

ordered this one also, but currently on hold as im still waiting for a discount coupon to be applied. at least a copy has been reserved already.

i've watched both films, and i dont know what's the 2nd sequel story will be about. this live-action movie series is wrapped up in this boxset, so i think it's enough. both were good btw, however the anime is of course better, which im currently watching  ;)

sir xage, is the packaging the same with Da Vinci Code?

sorry to inform you but there is a spinoff sequel on the works  :-\

OT: if this is true, then this spinoff shouldn't really be included in the boxset

Director named for “Death Note” spin off “L”

Hideo Nakata has been named as the director to helm "L," a spin off from the huge hit Japanese horror "Death Note," Nippon Television Network announced. Nakata, whose credits include "The Ring 2" and the upcoming "Kaidan" and "The Ring 3," will return to Japan after three years in Hollywood. Nakata said he wanted to make more movies in his home country and that he was taken with the performance of Kenichi Matsuyama in the "Death Note" films and wanted to work with the actor again.

Matsuyama plays the sweets-loving "genius" detective who matches wits and wills with a power-besotted college student able to kill anyone he pleases simply by writing the person's name in a mysterious notebook. "L" will focus on the detective's story before the events of the two "Death Note" pics, which grossed a total of ¥8 billion ($67 million) in Japan alone last year. The shoots will begin in August, and Warner Japan will release the movie in the first half of 2008.

Re:Asian DVDs--ring?
« Reply #263 on: Apr 23, 2007 at 10:41 AM »
None.. If ever you saw one its definitely a BOOTLEG (Pirated)!

Why?

1. The Ring was only released in DVD by Japan and Europe
2. Both release from the said countries are PAL and Not NTSC (which is our standard)
3. VCD wise, YES there are but its already out of stock.. when your lucky to obtain again its BOOTLEG(pirated)
4. Beware, normal BOOTLEG cover of the Ring has a TARTAN label on top.. bootleg yan but then again if ur curiosity is to view the film why not.. I rather suggest view it while its in limited release in Greenbelt and glorietta
5. Lastly.. There is NO NTSC Release!

DO NOT BE DECEIVED TO SPEND 1000P++

Hi.

Regarding this, I browsed a page that's basically a "How to..." on bootlegs.
