Quote
Gandalf swords used by "Frodo" and "Aragorn"

They weren't "Gandalf swords". Each one has a name and history all its own:

Gandalf's sword = Glamdring
Frodo's sword = Sting
Aragorn's sword = Anduril

Such sloppy writing by the "correspondent" tends to make his story less believable.

It was also said in that feature that he was the one who made the Samurais for "Kill Bill" (Hanzo Steel) and "The Last Samurai".  Even the Excalibur sword daw eh gawa rin dito sa Pinas.  :)

From thedigitalbits.com.  Here's an additional scene from the ROTK EE (as confirmed by New Line) which should be fun to watch (SPOILER - HIGHLIGHT TO READ):

;) "Finally, fans will relish a surprising cameo by Peter Jackson. Though the mastermind behind the Trilogy could be glimpsed in the theatrical cut playing one of the pirates whose ship is overtaken by Aragorn and the newly raised Armies of the Dead, in the Special Extended Edition, Gimli (John-Rhys Davies) causes one of Legolas's (Orlando Bloom) arrows to misfire, accidentally hitting and killing Jackson!"  ;)

Hello. Also planning to order from Amazon yung DVD, unless of course Astrovision will get copies and put them out on shelves December 14. This won't be my first time ordering online; first time nga lang to order from Amazon. How long til it gets here? Hinaharang sa airport yung deliveries from Amazon? How come? Do you guys have any idea if they put out stocks of the ROTK EE DVD to their Cebu branch? I'm kinda restraining myself from ordering it online, baka kasi when I go to Astro on the release date they have it na and I may have to wait for the copy I ordered online. Sobra hassle na if that happens.

I saw the story ABS put out about the guy making the LOTR/Kill Bill/Last Samurai swords; it's pretty out there. I mean, I'm all for global Pinoy recognition and all that pero taking credit for something that you didn't do in the first place is kind of below the belt. I wonder what Richard Taylor and company think about this whole thing...

hmm.... lemme try

before, music one and astrovision sold fellowship of the ring and the two towers extended dvds for 2,200 each.  they are direct imports from new line so expect a region 1 coding.  with the current exchange rates, i would guess the prices would be around 2,300 to 2,400 pesos for return of the king extended dvd.  but i guess, it will be available by january next year judging from my experiences with our local stores.

hmmm... misconception yata yung hinaharang sa airport yung deliveries sa airport!   either we receive it in pasay or the central post office in manila then distributed to local post offices.  you can read other threads on star wars dvds on how they got the trilogy from amazon or other online stores just to give you an idea.  they use johhny air cargo or relatives from the states then handcarry na.

in terms of prices, $23.99 for rotk and $25-27 for the previous movies, it is still cheaper but you have to add shipping costs, aabot talaga ng 2k ++.

hope this helps

uh.. maybe the fact that NO ELVES SHOULD OF EVEN BEEN AT HELM's Deep got something to do with it. Hence, Haldir should of never been slain. Eomer should of reconciled with theoden ways before Helm's Deep. and not show up with Gandalf at the end of defense.

yun yung pinaka ayaw ko sa mga ginawa ni Phillipa Boyens and PJ's wife. Next to the Faramir charcter change ofcourse.

Gandalf facing down the Witch King at Minas Tirith,

woohoo!

the Mouth of Sauron taunting Aragorn and company at the Black Gates

yep... was po'ed to find that this scene got cut in the last second. btw, the Mouth Of Sauron is the Trainman from Matrix: Revolution

Aragorn tending to Eowyn at the House of Healing,

Sana faramir din andoon..

and Gandalf's final confrontation with the wizard Saruman.

meh, take this out. this is PJ's version of Saruman's death.. :|
