YES I heard about the high regards, and pag maganda ang tunog nyan, baka magkaroon tayo nyan. ;D

Sige paul, maingat naman ako sa gamit. Daanan kita dyan sa inyo pag weekend para wala traffic, I will break it in carefully.

Sa audio SARS, ok lang naman, with my long aspired for tube CDP and the new BADA cable, there were new improvements sa vocals.

Hirap lang ako with juggling w/  4 wires to suit my shifting HT and audio needs.

matt, sent you a PM...got it?? thanks!

Yep. but I am through with it. Its just a trivial thing. Aint givin it much thought anymore  :)

Da who ito? ??? pwde ba i-PM? lolz!

Thanks! ;D

WALA...hayaan na yan.

I just ordered it from Bada. Bagay sya sa tubes for me, I use it for LF always & maganda yung mids, smooth and malambing sa vocals ang first observation ko. Almost to the point of parang "polished" na yung voices.

Moulding? try deeco, marami doon.

I look forward to my trips there so I could get great bargains on cameras, cellphones, etc before.

May mga parating pang dagdag, so tay tuned! we will be right back!  ;D

;D  ;D Last week nga eh nakipag-swap muna ako ng AVR dun sa kaibigan ko for the weekend.....using Cambridge Azur to my Missions.....ganda rin ng tunog....mas tumaba yung vocals....dahil siguro sa high current and torroids nung Cambridge....but bitin para sa akin yung Cambridge pagdating sa HT....but I admit na maganda sya for music.... ;D

wag sana akong magka-sars......makahanap nga ng ibang paglilibangan....herherherhehrehr

Maganda tunog ng Missions sa Rotel :). And balita ko kay DAZED (who lived for some time there in HK) that 2nd hand gears there are at "giveaway prices". Talagang electronics paradise talaga. I remember my trips to the Mongkok electronics street, grabe! Lots of people buying stuff! kaya malakas economy nyo dyan!

Just saw your new upgrades pre. Congrats!! I'm Happy anyway with my 335. Who knows, pag naka-raket ako ng malaki, re-negotiate tayo.  ;)

Salamat Dan!

Everytime nag buy (new) & sell (old) ka, sayang, nalulugi ka.

Anyway, I have decided to keep the 630 na lang. Napansin ko kasi sa mga ibang users internationally, they use the top receivers plus power amps cuz of the excellent processors used. :)

Yep you're right. Oks na oks na 335 sa kin. Very much happy with it. Mas lalong lumawak yung tunog when I upgraded the front and cener cable to 12ga. Galing!! Watched Silent Hill last Sunday and found out nawala lahat ng throw pillows ko kasi kinuha pala ng mga pamangkin ko lahat panakip mata.  ;D ;D ;D

And yes you're right laki ng lugi pag upgrade ng upgrade. I think its time na tigil na. . . . . kaya?  ;D ;D

Yep. I'm thinking of making bass traps muna for the meantime. What's the cheapest material na pwede mo recommend? I plan to place them below and behind the fronts and sub.

I saw a lot of them made from linen.

Yung space in between the 2 posts, allocate mo na rin for the size of your future PJ screen, just in case. ;D
Dont forget to insert your cable management na rin inside.

Acoustics need not be expensive or UGLY. Nasa creativity natin yan.

acoustic need not be expensive.... 8) talaga naman mura lang yan, cheap wood and linen...
if you just knew how high the mark-up on acoustic treatment baka mag d-i-y ka na lang... malaking racket yan!!! ;D
CREATIVITY.. bow ako kay matz" 8) 8) 8)
Ito ang well-planned na set-up.......Congrats sa AV set-up mo!!!! super-galing......pati porma ha matindi
Dito mo na-prove na hindi kelangan pinaka-pricey ang equipment mo...kelangan lang common-sense knowing well your budget-constraint, you can maximize evry gear you put into the chain. ;)
it's like putting into test the theory of the law of diminishing marginal return & principle of price/performance ratio on your audio set-up. :)
I like your creativity on your giant killer sonic-t amp......(mas pangit namn yun, sobra laki ng ginastos, ba't ganun lang 'un performance) he he.......

very neat and organized considering the space you've mentioned...above picture seems to come out from audio/video magazine...just like a showroom...i bet those knick-knacks feel the vibrations and rocks to the tune in everyboom...btw, did you use double sided tapes on every bric-a-brac? considering the power of your subs...but i think you get a very good job with the insulation/soundproofing...(which...i think pose as a problem for most a/v phile) it like treating a big aquarium with holes...one small hole and sound may leak...blah..blah...
wishing for this set-up... ;D

Thank you for your kind words  :).

Ganyan talaga, sabi ko nga eh "madali maging practical...lalo na pag wala kang pambili"  ;D

Tsaka purpose din ng audio setup ko is for my personal satisfaction, not for other reasons like prestige, etc..
And so far I am personally VERY satisfied naman.  :)

Thanks bro. Sometimes it still amazes me recently how I was able to pull this off in a 12sqm room esp after seeing other  spacious HTs. Ganyan talaga pag...desperate, LOL.

I didnt use tapes, just stikwell for the insulation. The 6 cubic meters of fiberglass was just given for free by a supplier, but they were patch by patch "retazos". Stikwell would do the job better & cheaper than tapes.

No problems with neighbors so far, there are enough space gaps everywhere between the HT to the hallway, neighbor or son's room to diffuse/reduce/absorb unwated noise before it reaches them. My son  sleeps well in his room even if we watch HT full blast. Nobody lives on the unit below us so no complaints on the sub yet.  :D

sorry kung makulit ako, i was thinking of getting some myself ;D TIA

no problem  :)

Hehe,  No, I didnt plot any bass response or whatever technical whatchamacallits. I am not a pro acoustician, this was simply a DIY project based from research on acoustics and sound principles. My previous speakers were M34's w/ 2 woofers, it was boomy in a the house where we stayed during the renovation, so I just thought of putting bass traps at the corners since this is where bass usually reverberates and my speakers are rear ported.

It seemed to work when I moved in, boominess of the 2 woofer M34 was reduced by a lot and now with my new speakers (one woofer) w/c is just right for my room size, reverb has never been a problem.

I have a friend who did that (plot the bass, etc) and when I watched in his HT recently, sabog pa rin bass nya. I think even a majority of his side walls are constructed as bass traps. Funny thing was he wasnt keen at all on sharing his knowledge with bass traps, so it prompted me to do my own research, and share what I can here, I dont wana do what he did.

Tapos na ang SARS so I am finally contemplating on buying a new PDA cellphone...after almost 3 years! Dahil sa hobby na to, I wasnt able to buy a new phone for this long! I cant believe my old PDA phone lasted this long. Reading the specs of current PDA phones I couldnt believe the new features I missed all these years like bluetooth, wireless lan, etc etc.

Haay, maiba naman ng interest.  :)

Gonna be busy as well with DIVX. My friend who is selling me his PDA phone gave me 140gig worth of mini series! LOL.  ;D
