Bagay nga yung stands, navisualize ko na yan when I saw your speakers, matching color sila. Pero nung sinalpak mo na, lalong bumagay, kasi same height as the TV, galing! parang planadong planado!  :)

Hehe, konti na lang.

Platinum, Last month we tried to help someone to look for a place in GP. I saw the 2-3 bedroom layouts. PERFECT rectangular layout for HT!!!

Enjoy what you have!

O yan eto muna, para may distraction habang under renovation ang iMAtZ  ;D

Before

NOW

cleaner & more spacious

Recessed wood panel used laminates and was finished in just 2 days. Been wanting to do this for so long, finally  finished it. Panel also hides the messy wires & connectors.

in the dark, w/ a 5w white backlight as our night light at the back of the panel.

Video setup:
TV:Hitachi 32PD380 LCD TV, excellent PQ and very rich colors
DVD player: Pioneer DV-233 (mwahaha! dinosaur  :D)
Racks: Sabre Crescendus (remnants from main HT room  ;D)
Mount: Sabre LCD/plasma wall mount
AVR: Omni 1000w servo type AVR, Panther surge protector w/ line filter
Receiver: Onkyo 494, 5.1 DTS
Speakers: JBL SCS 200.5 speaker system 5.1
Divx: portable HDD player w/ 20gig laptop hard disk, w/ remote
-w/ VGA or AV (Y,R,W) plug to TV and plays DIVX on your TV

This new 2ndary setup is surprisingly decent. Sub is loud enough for my taste.

Nope, its recessed. Thats why may ilaw sa background. There is a 2" gap between the wall & the panel, all open. So no problem with ventilation. This is our most frequently used TV pa naman lately, specially now that my wife just gave birth (this FEB 14!!!) and is resting in this room. Overtime lagi yung TV sa amin, if not us, my son watches a lot of barney & kiddie stuff with this TV.

Tamad na si Missis bumaba since her 8th month of pregnancy. ;D

Salamat bro! Kakatuwa nga natyempo pa ng Valentine's.

Hehe, di ako excited i post kasi feeling ko better pa rin itsura nung last setup. But pag na finalize ko na yung setup, I will post it. I am still fixing a few things here & there kasi (IC, speaker wires, etc.)  :)

congrats sa new set-up bro...very different from the set-up the last time i visited you...will be in Manila next week, bisita ulit ako ha :D

Natuloy ba yun palasyo speakers mo?   ???    Congrats bro.  ;)

Hehe. Di na natuloy yung palasyo at Hyperion.  :D

Kitakits sabado!

picture! ;D

LOL, eto na nga: my new setup is the one below.  ;D

*************************************************
Just wana share the difference between 1:1 screens & 16:9. The advantage of 16x9 screens[/b] is that there is a black border all around the 16x9 image, for better PQ, just like all TV's have a black border for PQ purposes. As compared to the usual 1:1 screen w/ white borders up & down.

w/ 1:1 screens and white border. Distracting for me.
I had to adjust the image downwards to eliminate the bottom white border

w/ black border & exact 16:9 ratio. I like it better this way. I dont get distracted by the white borders.

Oh yan Deo, partial muna ha... LOL.

more:  ;D

Oops, madilim lang... ;D

Not much, but here it is:

Separated audio & video setup.

For audio purposes, I placed the gears lower so that there will be no obstruction for the tweeters. Thanks to the flexibility of modular racks. It worked, better imaging & depth!

With this setup & my bedroom, our tiny house now has a total 14 speakers and 3 subwoofers, LOL.  ;D

Video:
Panasonic AE900 projector w/ UPS
Sabre Motorized 16x9 screen w/ R/F remote.
GIEC 720p/1080 DVD player
All video equipment connected to Bada line conditioner.

Home Theater :

Yamaha RXV 2500 THX Select receiver
Rotel RB 985 5x100w THX power amplifier
Atlantic Technology  271 THX select Front speakers (at ear level)
Atlantic Technology  274 THX select Dipole surrounds
Atlantic Technology  273 THX select Center w/ dialog boost  (on speaker stand)
Atlantic Technology PBM 272 THX Select subwoofer (behind the sofa, for bass shaking goodness!)

Audio:

Dynaudio Audience 70
BADA Tube pre amp w/ headphone amp
BADA Tube CD player
BADA IC & power cord
BADA 8ga Speaker wire 5n OFC purity
BADA  Line Conditioner
Rotel amp above

Accessories:

I am lazeeeee  ;D

Problem before:

With my limited space, my problem was that the primary floorstanders were in front too much & toed in to achieve best imaging & depth. It was great in audio, but in HT I discovered that it sounds great only at the sweet spot (3-4 center seats), when I sat at the extreme left & right to give way to guests, I realized that the SQ in those locations werent good at all   :-\.

Solution: wall mounted the HT speakers at the front wall & separated audio setup. The AT speakers have very wide dispersion, so all seats now get better sound than before's (audio priority) speaker placement. Now I can arrange audio speaker placement as I want w/o concern for HT.

And with this powerful sub placed behind the sofa, all seats now get that bass shaking effect.  ;D

Electric fan nga ba yan o subwoofer yung nasa harap?  ;D Better nga ang porma ng previous set-up mo but I guess talo nyan sa tunog ang dati.

Hindi pa nga pala tayo nakakapag schedule ng jamming sa previous iMatz but hope dito sa new THX  iMatz theater matuloy na? Congrats bro!

LOL, mukha bang dual 8" subwoofer?

Its an AIR CIRCULATOR (alias electric fan) that I couldnt resist buying. It now saves me electricity since I open it instead of the air con during long hours of audio listening.  ;D

Its height is also perfect in the sense that it wont obstruct the tweeters. I had arranged (audio) speaker placement in such a way that nothing is in between the tweets for better imaging & depth. Great result!

It can also tilt to 90 degrees, one fan faces up (air circulation), one fan faces you.

;D Better nga ang porma ng previous set-up mo but I guess talo nyan sa tunog ang dati.

Even my guests agree. They said the M5's look better. Just to share:

Sa tunog:

in HT: speaker wise, Mas wide lang dispersion ng AT speakers (pang HT talaga) & dipoles are excellent in surrounds, but I just feel the M5's (specially its midrange) were better than the Dynes or the AT (in my subjective opinion & sa HT lang ha), or talagang nagbagay (synergy) lang sya talaga w/ HK + Rotel. But sub wise, the current AT subwoofer outshines the previous setup. At regular volume this sub can be used to demolish a shanty (its now calibrated at -10db!) ;D

in Audio: the DYNEs are definitely better, it can go as low as 28hz (better than most subs) . Bass is tight, imaging is BIG & the SQ sounds like it came from a higher price class.  But of course, price is way higher than the M5's.

So better din talaga separate audio & video setup. With my limited space, my problem was that the primary floorstanders were in front too much to achieve imaging & depth. It was great in audio, but in HT I discovered that it sounds great only at the sweet spot (3-4 center seats), when I sat at the extreme left & right to give way to guests, I realized that the SQ in those locations werent good at all :-\.

Solution: wall mounted the HT speakers at the front wall. The AT speakers have very wide dispersion, so all seats now get better sound than before's (audio priority) speaker placement.
