Matt, can you give us some feedback on the performance of Audyssey Dynamic EQ and Dynamic Volume with the 876?

The 875 was sold 3 months ago. Withdrawal symptoms nga eh. LOL. My longest period with no receiver since I started the hobby.

But at least, I also found out that HT 2.0 is surprisingly not bad at all with enough power and good speakers.

I got the sofa bed and ottomans from a construction exhibit (duh ) at SMX. They are demo units of a furniture shop (ESPACIO)exhibiting there, so I got em at half price  .

The ottomans are really cool back up HT chairs and a nice listening chair in its fold-up mode. Its low so your ears are exactly positioned with the tweeter's height. Its not a la-z-boy though, but for the price, I cant complain. It also doubles as my kid's merry go round.

Btw Pare my uncle was so impressed with the bada LC, ang tagal ko kinulit to get one and talagang ayaw waste of money lang daw and hindi sya maselan So what I did since wala pa pj ko   I lend my LC to him na lang muna. At first sabi nya when I hooked it up he could not hear the difference talaga so sabi ko since hindi ko naman kailangan eh gamitin na lang nya just to protect na din his gears Mga 2 weeks din sa kanya yung BADA ko. Last week kinuha ko na kasi baka maluma lang nya The day after I got it pa lang kinukulit na ako kung saan daw sya bibili kasi na notice nya na ngo-ngo na yung tunog ng system nya and grainy na yung dvd nya Now he believes me ha ha ha Ang hirap iconvince pero ngayon ilan yun binili kasi pati yung mga IMACS nila nilagyan na Iba talaga pare pag may LC

Hi sir, I didnt have time to check this out yet. Puyat pa ako from last night. My initial observations are with the PQ. Its stunning. I activated the ISF function and its got various noise reduction (NR) options. The picture is just flawless with popcorn hour (havent tested it with SD yet).

I have used my PCH for about 10 movies before the 876 came, I noticed its a bit reddish when connected to the 876. But it was ok when connected directly to the AE1000 before. Thus I think maybe the PCH reacts differently to external processing.

Custom made versatile "Sooper Slouch Couch"  that can be configured to be a lounge chair, a bed, L shaped, etc etc. Proudly designed by yours truly . All the guests LOVE this sofa. This HT/Living room also became our guest room because of this sofa.
I jokingly call this room, my "outside the kulambo" room  .

Thanks bro, as you can see, I never upgraded anymore since I got my audio amp & speakers. Sometimes there will come a time when you can really say "This is it! This is the sound I am looking for." And you are just contented with audio bliss for a long time w/ no SARS.

I guess I got that with the right combination of my speakers, amp and more importantly, my treated room. Although I do wish to upgrade my room. As I have been preaching for many years now, I believe it is the 50% of our audio expreience.

(to everyone) Fix your room acoustics guys, maybe the SARS bug will hit you less.

Also, it is easy to have fortitude and resist temptation when your pocket is...drained.

Interesting. I have the same observation sa Popcorn sa set-up ko. Slightly reddish, but not excessive. There may be some video adjustment you can make on the 876 to neutralize it.

There is a "bypass" mode with the upscaler and ISF mode. but I havent tinkered with em yet since it just came last night. I will post my observations soon after more usage.

By golly that is very accurate! I am 6ft tall, our ceiling is a mere 7ft low(really!)! So I do hit the ceiling from time to time...in a literal sense! And my head hurts when I jump! 

Esi has visited our place so he knows what I mean. LOL.

Joking aside, we are moving to a bigger place hopefully by next year. Gonna make a bigger HT room and hopefully a separate music room, this time I will get an acoustician. All plans pa lang naman.
