Projector's in Hong Kong
« on: Feb 14, 2006 at 10:58 AM »
Guys need your help.  Im going to Hong Kong this coming MARCH.  By any chance you know where I can buy LCD projector's there?  Specifically INFOCUS 4805.   Mga roughly how much does it cost?

Or can you guys give website in HK where I can check roughly how much the SRP of the Infocus 4805?

Thanks in advance.

I was in hongkong last november saw a couple of projectors sa isang mall na papunta ng causeway bay times yata ang pangalan didn't see the 4805 (this is a DLP not LCD projector bro  ;D) but I did see panasonic's older lcd projector predecessor of the AE900 and noticed that the prices aren't far from the prices here and wala pang warranty yung projector from hongkong (tama ba walang warranty diba?)......

Try the Electronics Center (forgot name of building) at Wanchai MTR station.
More reasonable prices than at Causeway Bay.  :)
Enjoy what you have!

Is the price difference worth the absence of a warranty? Or does panasonic or infocus have an international warranty for its products?

Careful with the custom bro  :) Heard some nightmare story that the custom fee is as high as 30% of the item value...and that depends who's on duty  ;D

IMO, if the cost isn't much different from the local ones, then u might as well consider to buy locally due to the warranty. I know some products have worlwide repair service but usually it's much faster if u bring it back to the same shop where u bought your item from & in some instances u may be able to get a new replacement. That's a peace of mind...just my 2 cent opinion ;)

thanks guys for the tip but so far kasi the cheapest person who sell's is is mr sonny tuazon at 75k ata.  Meron pa ba kayo alam na store who sells this cheaper or kahit same price pero offers 0% interest?

Kahit I pay half cash tapos the rest CARD ko na lang.

If you're really planning to buy a projector from outside the Philippines, I suggest you contact fastlogic in Singapore first and check out their prices (instead of buying it from HK).  Last I heard, fastlogic was selling 4805's at S$1.6k (that's about P51k). Roundtrip ticket to Sing is less than P10k  via Tiger or Jetair.  Eh di around P60k lang yun (assuming you don't get taxed at NAIA). Doesn't hurt to call or send an email to them to confirm prices.

I saw 4805 in Funan IT Mall in singapore 1688.
International Warranty daw...
may contacts ba kayo ng distributor to honor the warrant from Singapore?
plano ko kasi bumili din... kung may international warranty nga

For pj owners, do check out how much your pj's bulbs cost in HK, versus here in Manila. Got a replacement bulb for almost half the cost. I got it from NEC itself, not bought from the street.
