imo, speakers muna. wait for denon to release the 4313 para bumaba presyo ng 4311. This is what i'm doing as well  ;D

@All

I would just like to mention that our denon 2310 receiver started to act up about 14 months after we bought it.  It would intermittently lose video and audio when we're watching movies on the media player (thru HDMI).  The problem started to get worse, as in, 5 minutes lang minsan, then wala na.  TO get it back to work, I have to turn off/on denon & media player.

Problem doesn't happen when we watch dvds (thru component video) or play FM music.
I've tried moving the connection to the other HDMI ports, same problem.
Tried connecting the media player to the HDTV directly and it works perfectly.

I've brought it to the service center and they say I have to replace the HDMI board for a whopping 18K.
Accdg to the repair people, the hdmi board getting shorted is a weakness of denon.  They said its caused by pulling hdmi cables out without turning off the unit or cutting electrical power to it.  We never pulled out any cable out of the denon after it was initially set up (except only when it started having problems and I had to try out the other hdmi ports).

Any thoughts/advice on what I should do? Plunk in the amount?  Get a replacement receiver?  Maybe another brand na lang?

I suggest you go with higher end yamaha's. They have less problems vs other brands. Also been a yamaha user from entry, mid to almost high end.. None of them failed me..

yep, check system settings. mase-set mo yun dun. for how to do it, google Batpig's Denon guide. very helpful sya.

taas pala ng setting ng sub ko kaya manipis tunog. naka -12db sya after Audessey calibration. 1/4th na yung volume knob, -9.5db pa rin so will set it lower later if i feel like it. ok na tunog e, satisfied. Large ang fronts and center ko with 40hz crossover.

Not considering the timing of your possible purchase, the answer is yes, primarily for Audyssey MultEQ XT32. When I changed from 4310 (MultEQ XT) to 4311 (MultEQ XT32), the difference was audible.

As for waiting for the replacement to the 4311, in AVS Forums, speculation is that the announcement (not necessarily the rollout, which can be immediate to 1-2 months later--in the US) will be in Fall 2012 (Sept-Nov).

dang ganun katagal ba? kala ko nag a announce yung mga receiver companies around may-june. Hindi ba parang too late naman kung umabot pa ng november ang announcement for the year model?

akala ko mga may ang announcement tapos mga july-aug ang release

Yes, May-June usually mag-announce Denon for the lower models, up to the 23xx or even the 33xx series. For the Denon high-end models, it's usually Sept.-Nov. The 4311 was announced and shipped around Sept-October 2010, while the other xx11 models were announced in April-June 2010 and shipped in July 2010.

Unless agahan nila this year coz they didn't have a 4312 rollout last year, pero the 4311 is holding its own even against the newer models of Onkyo (1009, 3009, 5009 series), Yamaha, Pioneer, etc. so baka hindi rin.....

I also had this problem with my 2808.  It turns out that the HDMI on the nmt and receiver were loose.  Try plugging and unplugging first.  Since you already brought it to the service center, try isolating the problem and check if the connection from nmt to receiver is loose.  Try changing hdmi cables.

Make sure also that you are connected to the ARC compliant HDMI.  Naka-tatak next sa HDMI and naka-s specify sa manual which specific HDMI port to use for ARC.

Dont forget to enable ARC sa HDMI settings ng AVR.  Baka lang naka-default sa OFF.

Ive been using ARC since April 2011 - Panasonic V2 plasma and Onkyo 1008 combination.
