yan din suspetsa kong cause e. not sure kung 1.4 yung 2 hdmi ko sir e. pano ba malalaman? parang wala akong nakitang nakasulat sa cable e. have 1 bandrige hdmi cable and 1 from cdr king.

so napagana mo yung ARC sir? anong TV and AVR mo?

thanks!

i need some help sa mga gurus ... i recently purchased a Polk Audio surround bar for HT use with my 1909 ... i'm planning to have a separate pair of speakers just for stereo music listening ... can i use the Zone 2 just for music listening?  for HT i plan to use the surround bar + sub ... then for music listening i'll use another pair of better quality speakers + sub

TIA

Ask ko lang mga 1912 owners, can the 1912 play FLAC files stored on an external HDD attached to the USB port? Upto what size of HDD is supported?

Haven't tried using my HDD yet but have tried using a 16gb USB drive. It plays FLAC files well.

Tried using my iP4s, nipis ng tunog when EQ on the phone is off. Didn't like it. Will try to put lossless files in the phone then will try again one of these days.

Cool thing about the 1912, it has A/V pass through so I can play PS3 even if the receiver is off.

Also, when I put the tv to sleep or turn it off, it turns off the PS3 and the receiver. Conversely, switching the tv to hdmi2 (which has ARC) turns on the ps3.

Re: 1910 to 4311, noticeable ba?
« Reply #1865 on: Feb 26, 2012 at 11:03 AM »
Not considering the timing of your possible purchase, the answer is yes, primarily for Audyssey MultEQ XT32. When I changed from 4310 (MultEQ XT) to 4311 (MultEQ XT32), the difference was audible.

As for waiting for the replacement to the 4311, in AVS Forums, speculation is that the announcement (not necessarily the rollout, which can be immediate to 1-2 months later--in the US) will be in Fall 2012 (Sept-Nov).

master gaol,

sure ba na malaking malaki na noticeable sa sound pag nag upgrade ako from 1910 to 4311? sencya sa kulit kasi may go signal k misis na pwede upgrade pero one time lang hehe, current setup ko kasi is tsi300/cs10/owm3/svspb12nsd.  help me decide kung avr or speakers, may nacanvass kasi ako 4311 nasa $1330, may na audition din ako na speakers paradigm monitor 9, bnw 683, polk rtia5 and klipsch rf62, halos mag ka price range sila dito.  thanks :)

Hi bryan,

SoundOfMind gave you sound advice regarding this at the AVS Forums. And he said it well.  :)

To add to that, based on my experience, getting the 4311 will max out the capabilities of your entry level speakers to the point that you may begin to notice its limitations and start looking for better speakers (but you will still notice an improvement over the entry level 1911). So in a sense, you are not maximizing the potential of the 4311 since it can improve SQ even more with much better speakers. That's what happened in my case, after the AVR upgrades and the transfer to a dedicated room with acoustic treatment, it became obvious that the weaker link was my speakers.

It might be better to invest in better speakers right now as well as mid-level receivers such as the 2312, 3312, or Onkyo 709-809, for a more overall balanced SQ improvement. Or go all out on speakers which you will keep for more years than the AVR, which comes out with new models every year--then ipon mode for the AVR, until the right time comes to get one. Baka by that time XT32 will trickle down to the mid-level AVRs at a cheaper price.

What youre doing is the receiver's capability to passthrough. Meaning kahit naka standby ang receiver mag papassthru pa din signal papunta sa tv coming from source connected to the AVR.

ARC is different. ARC is what brader louie has said.. Without any change in cables, your TV sound will be outputted sa receiver. No need to connect the TV HDMI, Optical or RCA outs to IN's nang receiver. :)

yes.

sa Denon, you press the "TV" button, i.e. input is TV.
