The least that you can do is set your tv in "zoom" format para lumaki yung screen,though if you do that, some images on screen will be lost but minimal lang.

Astro Podium Sale going on now.

Nothing really great though I got the following ( haven't bought in a looooong time from an Astro sale.... )

ALIEN Collector's Edition 2 DISC ( first time I saw this gem of a DVD! newly remastered PQ and extended director's cut yata to.. )
The Man With a Golden Gun 2 disc

I'm happy with my buys. P112 per disc is not bad eh, especially for classic films like these...

I haven't bought any dvds for the longest time locally so I'm not so updated but yesterday saw some on sale.

Boxsets at 50%
bought the following
30 rock season 1 600 pesos
30 rock season 2 600 pesos
Life of Mammals 600 pesos
Bible Mysteries (forgot the exact title sa boxset) also 600 pesos

I think this is the lowest price these boxsets ever hit?

or out of date lang ako on the pricing recently

Hey members, just went to Astro Podium, they're preparing the DVDs for sale tomorrow till Sunday (Dec.4-6, 2009). When i went there earlier only Universal DVDs are ON SALE....and its waaaaay toooo loooooow. Lower than the previous prices. Its awesome!!! I just bought 30 Rock Seasons 1 and 2 for only P200 each. Some other titles were Heroes Season 3 for only P500, The Office Season 2 for P300, etc. Movies were priced from P100 up.

I also asked the Viva rep if they're DVDs are on sale tomorrow as well, she said, "opo sir, mas mababa ito kaysa sa mga lumang sale namin! Hindi po ito yung 2 for P450. Wala pa nga lang yung prices sakin pero mas mababa po talaga" Hmmmm... is this a good sign? Hopefully! Come on Viva!!!

Nope. Same as with other stores. Made the effort to go and check it out hoping to see some Viva titles (such as Valkyrie, The Boy in Stripped Pyjamas hopefully down from 750... but its still 750!).

All other other titles are still buy 1 take 1 at 450.

Maybe the Viva Rep was referring to the old "foolscreen" releases w/c are around 100 bucks (or 2 for 250)

As stated in the Universal Studio thread, it seems Magnavision is dumping all their Universal DVDs. So if you come across any that you like, it's better to get them now or risk not getting them at bargain price. Okay, the price might get even lower, but then again, it might be sold out, as it seems unlikely, that Magnavision will be able to restock them.

The four you mentioned (if my memory serves me right) are okay.

Eastwood Mall is having a sale on Warner & Magnavision titles.

Older Warner titles are at P450 buy 1 take 1. Special packaging titles (such as steelcase & mask editions) are on 30-50% off.

Older Magna titles are at P300 buy 1 take 1.

Nabasa ko ito kanina. Nagpunta ako sa Eastwood Mall, pero wala akong nakitang sale. Saan kaya exactly doon? Di kasi ako familiar sa Eastwood, pero naikot ko na yung buong mall, wala pa rin akong nakita.

It is on the 2nd floor of Eastwood Mall (the new mall, not at Eastwood Citywalk). There is no Astro or Odyssey store per se. They just have a set-up right outside the entrance doors of the 2nd floor.

Hey guys, went to V-mall today, bought a lot of titles. DVD Sale again! V-Mall (Greenhills) is currently having a DVD sale, same like the Eastwood Mall sale 2 weeks ago. Warner titles 2 for P450, 2 for P599 and new titles for P375, P450, etc. C-Interactive and Magnavision titles are also included in the sale. No Viva! Located at the 1st floor lobby area. This sale ends this Sunday. Gastos nanaman once again!
