Hi guys!

Finally nag email na sakin ang JAC. :D I'm ready to make my first online order. Can you guys provide me a step by step walkthrough of the whole process of ordering and shipping it by JAC up until my pick up (at Megamall)? They just provided me with the address, it's the first time I'm doing this and instructions were kinda vague. I have questions like do I need to inform them once I have placed my order online? And will they contact me once my package has arrived? Thanks!

it's usually 6 per pound for pdvd members. if you get charged 6.50 per pound, tell them you're a pdvd member so you can avail the discount.

7.50 per lb? that's a pretty big price difference.

Can anyone here confirm what the ACTUAL price is if you live outside of Metro Manila. I can't believe its $6. for you guys and $7.50 for me just because I reside in Cebu. This MUST be a mistake.

the lowest shipping ($6/lb) is between their main offices. manila and new jersey/new york. if you have your stuff delivered from LA or any other city in the states besides new jersey to manila the rate is different.  so it makes sense for there to be an extra charge for deliveries to cebu due to the distance from manila.

it depends on the day it arrived to their nj/ny office. usually it would take 7-10 days for your package to arrive in their local office.

The latest Jac charges include $20 delivery fee

So lets do a hypothesis....

I bought a medium size book from amazon....

Since 2lbs is the minimum chargeable weight this is what i have to pay

2lbs x $6= $12  + $5 handling fee + $20 delivery fee = Total $37

So $37 is what I have to pay??

Gosh...$20 delivery fee? Bro, did JAC clarify why is there such fee? That's unusual for a small item.

So far I haven't encounter such fee tho I'm buying various books regularly from Amazon.

No such thing for items being picked up. I believe you wanted your item to have it delivered door-door? Cost may vary depending on your location.

where are you from @zeromike, because if you can do pick up, then you dont have to pay for the $20 or as what sir froot said, any fee for the delivery. and once you are enrolled as pdvd member, they will actually accept 1lb package and waive the 2 lbs limit.  :)

but if you insist on the delivery via door to door, then your computation is accurate (assuming your book will take up 2 lbs)

Hi! I'm planning to order 3 Blu ray discs (1 of which is 2 disc) and 2 Audio CDs. Do you guys have any idea if this would be more than 2lbs?

Should be less than a pound, provided that it arrives in a single shipment

Let me get this straight.

I'll fill up a form at a near JAC branch.
I'll receive an email from them.
Once I have received an email I can ship my orders to their international branch (like New York  or LA)
They will send it here.
I will receive a call from them that my shipment is here.
I will pick it up at their branch and pay for the service.
Where's the best JAC international branch?  I mean better.
is this right?

Question though.

What should I Bring when I fill up?
What's the minimum weight? if my package is lighter than the minimum weight i'll still have to pay the full minimum rate?
What package is good for let say a single dvd only?

Regular

most of us use their new jersey branch because no tax is paid when its shipped to nj
is this right?
YUP

just bring a valid i.d. with picture
What's the minimum weight? if my package is lighter than the minimum weight i'll still have to pay the full minimum rate?
yup, but their minimum is 1 pound (approx 600 grams), so i dont think you will be shipping less than that
What package is good for let say a single dvd only?
once you are enrolled, afaik, there is no other packages in shipping, they will just assess your bill based on the standard pdvd rate of $6 per pound + $5 per shipping (so basically, $11 is the cheapest bill you will be billed by jac. in my experience, 3 dvds / hddvds will approximately be 1 pound provided they are shipped together

yes. you will have to pay 2 handling fees. but maybe you can try to request JAC to just charge you one, since sabay naman dating dito yan.

if it arrives within one week to jac's nj office they will just charge you with one handling fee. but better inform them though para safe.

you can request your "handler" here to make sure the packages are sent to the Philippines at the same time para isa lang handling fee..  Pero sometimes kahit hindi sabay, nakukuha naman sa usapan yan..  ;D ;D ;D

I tried JAC's service for the first time. Find them very efficient. I order from Amazon last tuesday and got my item yesterday.
