I just got the 1-disc version.  I turned PBC off on my dvd player and I can bypass the commercials by pressing the menu button.  It's still sad that they did that to it, though.  I also noticed it plays in my Region-1-only dvd player.

Yup. Three 6 discs only, Imported, and it's the 2.1 version of the second movie that's included. Front cover looks something like this (I think):

hmmm.. it's a bit pricey for just the 3-discs.. judging by this release's price, looks like the upcoming Transformers editions are going to really burn holes on the pockets of those planning to double dip..

So the DVD's included in the boxed set are the budget editions? aside from the Spider-Man 2.1, of course.

Trilogy: I think it's not budget edition discs (local DVD9) but Imported Discs.  Although the content could be the same as budget discs (sans advertisements)...

so if i get this, it mean, that i will also be getting the single disc spiderman-3 with the local commercials?

or i get an imported dvd 9 spiderman-1, an imported single disc spiderman-2.1 and the imported dvd 9 spiderman-3 without the commercials?

The sticker on the package says "Imported." SO FAR, none of the Magna titles with this sticker have EVER had local commercials. But you can only get 100% confirmation once someone actually buys this title and posts a review after trying the discs out.

some times it pays to wait, besides im excited in buying dvds but have no time to watch it anyways

same with goes with the ocean's 13, i should've gotten the gift set instead of the single release...kasi bibilin ko din pala yung gift set!

It is? I didn't open one, but the Magna promo girl told me it was a three disc set. I even asked, "Hindi 6-disc?", and she said no.

Edited to add: I just spoke with the manager of Astro V-Mall. She said they opened a copy last night and it only has THREE DISCS.

I guess we were also a source of the confusion since our operations initially indicated that the box set contained 3 discs rather than the correct 6 discs at .Biz.  Sorry for that.

As confirmed by Magna and sstar68, the box set does contain 6 discs Mr. Hankey. The problem with the box is that there's nothing in there that makes mention on the number of discs included in the set.

Merong part four pero di pa pumipirma si Toby. Meron nang trilogy in bluray. Nga lang may kasunod pa kaya hesitant din akong bilhin.  Up to part 5 yata ang plan ng producer kasi kumita talaga yung tatlo.

sony corp the parent company has said that spiderman will last til part 6.  not sure though if it's the same cast & raimi til 6.
