To add, the local Day Watch release has a Russian DTS track. Based on reviews, the R1 only has DD5.1. In exchange for this, the R3 special features are less. We only get the making-of featurrete & 1 Russian trailer (the R1 has a director's commentary & more trailers). Also, the R3 is indicated as the "Director's Cut" instead of "Unrated", but I think both should just be the same.

Do you have a copy of the R1 Day Watch? I went to DVD Empire and their box shot and spec list didn't list any commentary track. The R1 has the same features as listed on our R3 release, except the R3 has the additional DTS track...

I don't have either copy, so I just want to gauge which I should get.

I only have the local R3, but compared it to the specs listed in R1 DVD reviews I read, which all mentioned a director's commentary.

As per DVD Times, the following are the R1 features:

C Interactive release, but take note, both versions are supposedly IMPORTED. The packaging itself is definitely not, since the death mark that is C Interactive's logo is printed at the back (unless the printing was done overseas). It must be the discs themselves that are imported, but I can't confirm since I didn't buy the DVD.

The single disc version has a 5.1 DD-EX track, while the double disc version has 6.1 DTS-ES & 5.1 DD-EX tracks.

Is there any feedback on this?

Would really like to see this as the rip of this went RIP

I'm actually interested in finding out if the discs are really imported and not local repros. Anyone out there?

Regarding Day Watch, I just saw a slipcased copy yesterday at Astro Shang. Did not know it also came with a slipcase as the one I bought from Video City Market Market had none.

Lost Third Season: Yeah, even with proper taxes, it would just be approximate what Viva is charging. At that price, they should include tons of extras not found in R1 whether packaging-wise (ie Giftset) or content-wise. Otherwise, no reason to buy R3 except instant gratification...

Judging by the looks of some new C-interactive releases, it is quite an improvement from past releases. With the exception of Hannibal Rising, the cover looks dull and faded.

Then again, i'm yet to buy one from their company. i'll probably purchase, Stormbreaker.

I think this is a TV movie, so the aspect ratio is 1.33:1.
