Don't like the calls of the refs. Boston is playing great but they're getting a lot of help from the refs.
To many no calls on Lakers end...end of the half Boston 19 FTA versus Lakers 2.
It's not like all Lakers' attempt were all jumpshot from the outside.

You can never do anything about the refs. The Lakers just have to be more aggressive to stay alive in the game.

Gasol is finally playing aggressive.. the Boston defense is just excellent.. the Lakers defense is almost non-existent.. ang bagal ng rotation nila sa shooters.. kung si Kobe at Gasol lang gagawa, patay na naman LA.. next year na lang sila bumawi pagbalik ni Bynum..

the refs just have to be consistent to be perceived as fair. if tatawag sila ng touchy fouls...then dapat buong game ganun.

Boston is playing really well on both ends of the court. Have to give them credit for that, despite the glaring disparity in FT opportunities c/o of the refs. On the other hand, the Lakers (esp. Kobe) are obviously letting the pressure of being branded "favorites" in this series (rightly or wrongly) get to them, despite not having the home court advantage. I hope they just keep their composure and keep within striking range of Boston. I'm not giving up on them in this game yet.

Phil Jackson is going to give it one last push in the start of the 4th.
After 3-4 mins and nothing develops I think he's going to send in the bench.
Can't do anything about this game, they just have to go home and prepare for Game 3.
I won't be surprised if he plays mostly the bench in the 4th.

No way LA can recover from this. I felt that this was the road game they had to win if they wanted to bag the title. I hope they do a Miami Heat: win the next three home games, and win Game 6 back at Boston.

it's in an opponent like the Celtics that you miss a defensive presence and excellent rebounder like Bynum.. they have to be quicker to the ball in game 3 or else they will get swept.. their bench has to step up as well..

Kobe is only a copy cat. This years finals just proves how TINY he is compared to Jordan. And to think they let him win the MVP.

I'm no Kobe fan, but after seeing the Lakers defeat the defending champs when Paul's Hornets couldn't, I think he deserves it. Anyway, the NBA has to give him the award at least once during his entire career, so his best season w/o Shaq is the perfect time.

Come on Kobe you can do better than that with Allen guarding you. Eventhough if there is help, at least he can go around Allen w/o trouble. I still don't know why he keep shooting jumpshots and even posting him when he sees than its not making any difference. Why not drive to the hoop and dish it to your teammate when help comes.

ctlim - he never compared himself to MJ. Kobe has always said he can never be MJ and there can only be one MJ. But the talent Kobe has is something that no other NBA player has. A lot of people/writers aknowledge how he is the best in the NBA right now (I know there is a lot of argument there) just like MJ was during his time.

If one wants to be great you have to copy great players ahead of you and try to improve on it. They are your idols and you really try to mimic them.

As for the MVP, I don't suppose you wanted MJ to win this years MVP. Truth is Kobe is one of the best this year -- that is why they are in the Finals.

Kobe will always be -- either you hate him or love him. No in between just because you have to appreciate how good he is at playing basketball. I just think it's unfair Kobe is shot down with a comparison to MJ yet he never said anything that he is comparable to MJ.

PS: Yes, I am a Kobe fan

dyerds -- thye're really doing a great team defense against Kobe. They are forcing him to give up the ball. What the Lakers really need is for the role players to hit their shots. That will free him to operate and drive to the basket.

...but he is contented with his jumpshots...why not drive to the hoop and get some fouls
