So how did you find the CA sound patrick?  

after almost 5 hours of critical listening...definitely my kind of sound!!! hanep ang sytem ni master idol. never heard anything like that in my life. napaganda ng balance, punch, detail, etc. basta solve na solve mapa classical, orchestra or jologs na mainstream. yung materials na ginamit, wala ako masabi. in a sense totoo ang sinabi ni master nelson na hirap na pakinggan ng sariling system if you heard something like the sq of master ivan. siguro for master ivan, kulang pa yun, but for me audio nirvana na yung naexperience ko. im not overstating.... to listen is to believe eka nga.  CA system is definitely worth saving for:)

as much as i want to own an 840, mukang malabo yan. its so beyond my means. besides, di lang 840 ang kelangan to achieve or to even get close to master ivan's sq, ang dami pa kelangan. in the meantime, sa mga tipid meals muna ako  its on sale by the way, baka ikaw ang inaantay ng 840 sa trinoma.

Not on the hunt for audio gear at the moment.    Have to spend for work on the Silvia next month. My tuner thinks my engine runs hotter than the rest of the Silvia's that he handles.

Nothing is beyond Master Patrick's lavish means. He's just being couth with that statement. At any rate, both 550 and 650 sets are wonderful options. They actually sound more palatable than the prior models (x40) for most people, as they have a more urbane disposition.

Si Master Raz kasi iba ang hinahakot nyan. Nagorder ata ng toy with 4 wheels.

I agree. It has the urgency, scale and detail that'd keep me entertained for hours. It's a partnership that'd do many things well. The sound actually reminds me of Luther's system.

The Mezzo 2 was also a natural match. It's just as detailed, but has a more relaxed pace and a less forward presentation.

As regards the 650a and RTi a3 combo, akala ko magiging too forward, but to my surprise bagay na bagay din pala (at least for my taste). im so impressed with the CA, madami din pala binabagayan na speaks especially if one is looking for a detailed and snappy sound. well, even with the primus 162 maganda rin. right borix?

True. RX2 was my first choice... and will still be one of the "better" speakers in my list. It's good to know you like the detailed and snappy sound. So is Eric succumbing to the call of Azur?

Naku anong chismis yan.   Nakisabit lang ako sa mga big time para makarinig naman ako ng toys.  

Si Jeff at si Eric ata hahakot ng A5-VL, gusto nila yung all-in-one package. Maganda yung A5-VL with certain speakers like the MA BX2, the Polk RTi A1/A3, and the Infinity P162 pairs. It is a thoroughly pleasing sound, albeit painted with broader strokes. With a price half of the CA combo, it still makes a wonderful option (not to mention that it includes a decent built-in phono stage). It's a great choice for the budget-conscious, offering lots of features at a low price and a low running cost (Class-D operation).

Si Master Pat parang alam na nga ang gusto nya.   Pareho ata kami ng preference for the intense and energetic presentation. The firm grasp that the 650A applies on those big cones in the RX2 pair results in a very clean and lively sound (thanks to a good dynamic reserve and a high damping factor). I was surprised with the tight and forceful lows at this price range. The wide bandwidth that does not get constrained by the load at hand opens up the sound with airy and natural highs, clearing the RX2 of any darkness that was evident with the other amps tested.

sale srp of 650a is 25300 at 5th avenue. before it was 28k yata. 350a,550a,840a are also on sale. either 550a or 650a sulit yan if your looking for a detailed and lively sound. im not sure if theres a shop that carries both brands (polk and ca).  sayang, sana nakajoin ka when we tried the CA at avshop. I use it with polk RTi at bagay na bagay sya for my taste.  Sa LSi, perhaps babagay din, but it would be better if you can listen to it personally.

Take your LSi speakers with you to 5th Avenue to hear them with CA gear. The 650A is quite strong for the price, and would likely drive your speakers well enough (unless you're asking for crazy volume levels).
