Maganda idol sa wallet yan. Nagkakalumot kse sa wallet pag hinde masyado naaalis-tanggal mga plastic sa loob ng wallet. So, on a more positive note, you'll save lots of moolah by protecting your wallet. Hehe!

The 650a and 550a are good contenders. Pero try mo muna audition baka hinde sya swak sa panlasa mo. And you'll also need to pair a good source.

Dami bago products ng CA ngayon. DacMagic Plus, 651C, 651A, 651BD, NP30, 751BD, 551R, iD100, etc. I'm happy to say that the improvements look appealing.

Three new items caught my attention:

1. The DacMagic Plus has a much better USB interface (when put against its predecessor), and now supports 192/24 from all its inputs.

2. The 651C is essentially a revised 650C that uses better DACs, and allows the tweaking of filters (this was possible in a handful of 650Cs, but they took the feature out in later firmware revisions).

3. The 651A is a sonically tweaked 650A that now has a USB DAC built into the unit. I wish they added SPDIF inputs as well, but it'd be great to hear this with the 651C.

I don't think it's here yet, but it probably would be soon. It'd supposedly co-exist with the DacMagic for quite sometime, as the Plus is expected to cost quite a bit more (maybe priced like the Arcam rDAC).

Soon, I'd think. The 651A mostly got an incremental upgrade (improvement in dynamic reserve, some voicing tweaks and a USB DAC).

The 651C got more improvements inside, imho. The blacks should now be blacker, as the noise floor is down from the 350C/550C/650C models. I wouldn't be surprised if the 651C surpassed the 740C in sonics (some measurements actually favor it). It may be lacking the 740C's electronic sophistication and DSP, but it now carries some superior component parts.

I'm expecting this pair to cost around 30k (30,800 perhaps, as Avesco likes ending the SRPs with 800) for each component, so that it'd slot between the 550 and 740 models (20800 and 43800 respectively, afaik). I guess the current 650 models are too close to the 550s in price (25800) and performance.

need some help. Meron akong rti a3, ano ba ang magandang cambridge amp para dito? Budget max is 25k. Space is about 15 to 20 sqm. Presently im using hk avr 245, prang not enough.

you might want to try your a3 first with a 550 or higher, because the sound character of ca is very different from your hk. baka manibago ka at may pagka clinical ang ca like most people here say, unless yun talaga ang hanap mo like me.

Sirs thanks for the reply. What I mean prang kulang ang power ng hk avr to drive the a3. From reading sa thread Cambridge can drive out more the a3.

If you just need more power (and like how your current system sounds), then there might be other avenues for you.

Consider Cambridge if you want a different sound character, first and foremost. Because that is what would stand out (and probably not the extra power) when put beside your Harman.

Im surprised nakukulangan ka sa hk245, from what i know hk maybe conservatively rated, but these are high current amps and enough to drive your bookshelves. Ooops sorry for the ot

Iba iba kasi hanap ng mga tao. Yung iba nga nakukulangan pa sa Krell... baka kaya may market pa ang the likes of Goldmund.
