It's really model-dependent, not brand-dependent.

NAD's C3x6 series is noticeably brighter than the C3x5 series. CA's x51A series is less aggressive than the x50A and x40A models. There's also a substantial difference between models in the same series.

I tried different speakers (dali and MA) medyo bright nga yung CA compared sa Nad pero pagdating sa Mezzo baliktad ang result mas bright yung Nad. Maganda talaga matching ng CA + Mezzo.

saving up for an amp upgrade choice cambridge 851a or...hehehe secret slightly cheaper but with phono... but this 550a is more than enough for a bookshelf speak......mezzy 2.....playing 540p vinyl most of the time.... room size medium......hahahaha...it must be be better than a good f.....ck

My new cambridge 851a fails to power on in just 9 days. I hope i just got a lemon unit. Sana wala itong hardware issues. 1st time to try cambridge.

Pwede ata sir. Kaso, hindi ata sasabay sa volume ang sub once na binago mo ang volume na amp mo. If your sub has high level input, masmagandang gamitin mo yun. That way, you get the sonic signature of your amp sa sub.

Hi guys,
I've just relocated from the UK to Cebu & stumbled across your forum whilst searching for information on the 851E&W so decide to say hello. I've trodden the long upgrade road for many years & currently have 840E&W for my stereo setup. I wanted to biamp the speakers but could not get another 840W & on hearing the 851's will be available in November have ordered the E & 2 x W's. I've no mastery of your language yet & have to rely on the wife for translation so it's taking me a while to wade through the forum. Hopefully my experiences will be of help to some of you enthusiasts

They work well together, though I prefer the RX2. You can check with Audioworld as they also sell CA amps (by order mostly).

how do you connect this master..
i have SB12nsd would like to try connecting it to INT AMP
amp has main in and pre-out connection.

will use sb12nsd high and low pass

No. I believe fixed at 80Hz ang high pass ng SVS, so ang low pass setting mo laruin mo within the vicinity of that value.

If you want an adjustable high pass, get an external crossover.

Yun nk Rotel aq wala din Sub, kaya pre-out q sinaksak. ang issue lng nmn khit nk zero volume k sa Amp may tunog prin yun Sub, while sa Amp n may Sub kpg zero volume k same sa sub.

Dapat walang tunog na sub if set to zero volume sir using preout of your rotel amp. If meron baka me problema somewhere in the chain. I have tried it before and my friends who uses rotel emps also did, no sound pag zero volume. Lahat ng amps wala dapat pag 0 volume, otherwise baka me problema amp mo sir.

Most likely sa line-out nya nakabit instead of sa pre-out.

alam q pre-out yun sa ra04, dawala ra04 q and both same thing na kapag zero volume sa amp still may tunog yun sub.
ex. playing CDP kpag nag zero volume aq sa amp yun sub still produce lows, while sa NAD q n may sub kpg zero volume amp wala din tunog ang sub.
