thanks ..can u direct me to a site or link on how to properly configure windows 7 to be more effecient? thanks

Search ka na lang, it's probably out there.

Settings that extend battery life for portables are the same settings that reduce power consumption.

AMD A6-3500 APU - 4250
Asrock A75M-ITX - 4450
G.Skill Ripjaws 8GB DDR3-1600 - 2180
Samsung 1TB 2.5" HDD - 4995
Antec ISK-100 -3690

Total: 19565

Ayan sample ng sobrang portable na build, 8GB RAM na para less likely mo i-upgrade sa future. Eto hitsura nyan:

like like like.... heheh san nakakabili nito.. kung ganito mga setup well well well... di ko na kailangan ng xtreamer ultra or manli... heheh remote controller na lang aus na.... may alam ka po ba na board na may built-in wifi and bluetooth?

Parang Mac Mini na lang, less the optical drive. Take note that you may have to make some mods sa included HSF (or replace it with a low profile one) for proper fitting sa ganitong type ng case. Most likely baka kailangan na tanggalin yung Fan sa Heatsink, since may fan na din naman on top yung casing.

The included power supply is very efficient, kung power consumption ang biggest issue mo. Also take note that the proper PC software configuration has more to do with your actual consumption than the parts that you use. Maski matitipid pa sa kuryente yung parts mo, if you don't use the power saving features of those parts, in the end baka mas mataas pa konsumo than mga matatakaw na parts.

Hindi pa ata best of both worlds yan, Master Jamy. Kasi mas mabilis yung integrated ng AMD Llano sa HD64xx eh (though the HD64xx is more capable than Intel's integrated solution). ;)

The Llano integrateds have an HD65xx designation because of their relative performance (between the HD64xx and HD66xx dedicated solutions). The Llano processors can also run the integrated graphics in Crossfire mode with a dedicated board for improved performance, up until a certain level (aka Radeon Dual Graphics).

Intel gains graphics parity with AMD once you get to the HD67xx level (or higher) for desktops and HD68xx (or higher) for notebooks, as those models no longer run in tandem with AMD's integrated GPU. At that point, it makes a lot less sense to go for an AMD solution, since Intel has the upper hand with general processing.

It's all a matter of choosing one that fits your needs.

i stand corrected, if you want the better of both worlds ;D ;D
medyo curious ako sa actual performance ng AMD Llano.  pag di nabenta yung old htpc casing ko, i might assemble a new one with Llano platform  ;D

Ayun o.

Sa Desktops, the Llanos are tagged with HD65xxD graphics, while sa notebooks they get to the HD66xxM level since mas mabagal ang dedicated GPUs ng notebooks kaya they elevated the same chips numerically to reflect yung relative performance sa mobile market.

asan?  ;D
before 2012 ends siguro.  ;D

btw since im using my latop for my HTPC, is it OK to use usb hub for my external 2tb hdd's?
may sariling power supply naman yung mga external HDD's ko, pero ok lang kaya let's say 4x 2tb via usb hub?
currently using 2x2tb OK naman, but im not sure if 4x2tb is pushing it.  :)

As long as you're not overloading the hub, and you're not bothered with the performance, ok lang yan. Tignan mo yung power requirement nung USB device tapos i-sum mo kung kakayanin nung hub. Powered hub ba ang gamit mo?

You should be able to see your USB devices under Device Manager. May Power tab yung mga hub, and it will tell you the total power available from the hub, and the power required of each device that's connected to it.

As long as the total power required of the attached devices do not exceed the power available value, then you'd normally be okay. :)

A powered hub's main advantage is that it can normally deliver full power to each of its ports, while a non-powered hub will split the power that it sources from your PC's USB port.

zacate way is one of the cheapest htpc you can build.panalo din sa konsumo sa 1.8 dual core with 6450 igp.
eto sana plan ko ipalit sa current htpc ko but the 6450 does not support hd audio so discreet low profile 6xxx ang napuntahan.. ;D

Nabuo ko to for P10-11k lang.  Got parts from tipidpc. Wala pako pangtest ng power consumption.

HD 6310 po ang integrated video ng E-350, while HD 6320 naman sa E-450. Both are Zacate APUs; both are HD Audio capable via HDMI.

If your idea of light gaming comes in the form of flash games and older titles running low res, then yes, you could.

based sa mga nabasa ko parang okay ang ASRock question na lang ngayon... will I go to AMD or Intel.... pag AMD A75 pag intel naman Z68... which is which??? Same pa rin ang requirement

1. ITX
2. No lag or hiccup when playing 1080p
3. light gaming
4. Power consumption

Both can meet requirements 1, 2 and 4. AMD handles number 3 a whole lot better.
