dude meron daw talaga policy na ganyan ang samsung and panasonic. pero for calibration via service menu, or whatever that is. Stores that offer free calibration kasi nasa post nya, kaya syempre instinct na natin na parang may unethical purpose tong thread na to.

Hi Hope Mr. Panaphil can come back and clarify his statement/s.  He unleashed a shot gun message which has caused a lot of confusion and pain (for some).

At least post a clarificatory message or an apology if needed.

Panasonic Plasmas are of the highest quality and definitely the most Superior in PDP category!
Attention!!!
=> Manual calibration is not allowed..it will definitely VOID warranty!
THOSE GIVING FREE CALIBRATION FOR PLASMAS ARE DEFINITELY NOT AUTHORIZED PANASONIC
        PHILIPPINES DEALERS..BEWARE!!!!!!!
=> Purchase only from authorized Panasonic Philippines dealers.
=> Never purchase from grey market dealers because our trademark Panasonic Philippines Customer    Service Satisfaction can't be availed.

Yan sentence lang na yan ang totoo. But, it's made known naman to the customer if it's a grey unit or not so it's up to the customer to decide. Also, hindi lang naman isang store ang nagbebenta ng grey unit dito di po ba? ;D

ma-vo-void ang warranty pag pinalabas nyo yung plasma gas na naka-ipit sa glass panel ng screen ;)
84" 100" 120" 150" Motorized or Manual Projector Screens still available. Just pm.

IMHO, misleading talaga yung post. i also dont like the fact that the orignal poster of this thread from panaphil used several !!!!!!...it is clear may galit sya or may pinatatamaan sya about the free manual calibration..great thing is i got pioneer ;) anyways whats wrong with manual calibration either using the tv's remote or even the spyder calibration? e ang ginagalaw mo lng is the settings na pde mo iadjust directly thru the tv's remote. e kung bawal pala mag adjust ng settings sa tv, e baket pa sila naglagay ng menus for settings which is accessible thru the tv's remote. this is purely nonsense. in the case of pioneer, you can actually access the all rgb colors/temp settings under home menu/av selection/pro adjust using only the tvs remote and no other tools..kahit sa spyder calibration, may isasabet lng din sa tv with a computer, pero ang adjustment is thru tv's remote pa rin..never did na inaccess ang service menu (actually di ko din nga ang alam ang service menu dahil la naman nakaindicate sa remote even in the instructions manual) in short sa pioneer all color settings are accessible at the home menu..and if ever meron di pdeng iadjust or di pdeng maccess, nakagrey color ung particular setting :) i dont know bout the panasonic settings though. good thing still, i got pioneer ;)

ang dating kasi ng message nya ay "BABALA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!HUWAG KAYO BUMILI SA MGA TINDAHAN NA NAG-OOFER NG FREE CALIBRATION DAHIL HINDI SILA AUTHORIZED PANASONIC DEALERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!".

Which is very wrong dahil alam na alam nating members na may pinatatamaan sya o sinisiraan na AV store, buti na lang at matatalino mga members ng PDVD at HINDI MANINIWALA!!!!!!!!!!! sa ganyang klase ng PANINIRA!!!!!!! i think this is a very desperate move!!!!!!!!

Pansin ko lang why yun sentence "THOSE GIVING FREE CALIBRATION FOR PLASMA ARE DEFNITELY NOT AUTHORIZED PANASONOC PHILIPPINES DEALERS...BEWARE!!!" Ang naka-CAPITALIZED?!! :o... Means he's giving more emphasis to that rather than to the manual calibration when the  thread name is about manual calibration

As far as i'm concerned, I bought my Pana from the store who offer free manual calibration and I got a Phil Panasonic Certificate from them  ;D

FAKE YAN!!!!!

hahahahahahahaha!!!!

You nailed it Matzer!  From this thread, obvious naman na deliberate attempt ito para siraan yung seller na nasa thread na yun.  Out of the blue, this newbie made that post right after the seller's post.  I really don't like the fact that he emphasized THOSE GIVING FREE CALIBRATION FOR PLASMAS ARE DEFINITELY NOT AUTHORIZED PANASONIC PHILIPPINES DEALERS..BEWARE!!!!!!!  At sa thread na yun isa lang namang seller ang nagjoin ng discussion and guess what...he is offering free calibration!  Anyway, like surg, buti na lang I got my Kuro from THE SELLER THAT OFFERS FREE CALIBRATION, and I never regretted it.  Pioneer pa rin!!  Panasonic Philippines, this will backfire on you.  Tama ka otepsy, matatalino ang taga pdvd and will not easily fall for these kinds of posts.

Ya me too I thought that was wrong, below the belt ;D..Meron talaga intention imo.. Anyway that "free calibration" is a service that made me decide to buy (42pv70) from that store (we all know who ;))..Great service and cool talaga the guy ;D and the guy who does the calibrating ;D..Can't panasonic phils just list the authorized dealers here, para tapos na ang boxing. He should have said: Calibrating from the service menu will void the warranty with Panasonic Phils. Authorized dealers of panasonic are the following:
1., 2. 3.... blah blah blah

I think this would be better imo

It's a good thing that the guy is very professional at di pinapatulan yung post ni panaphil kahit obvious na siya ang sinisiraan.

If the allegations regarding the post as being deliberate in trying to destroy the reputation of the "free calibration" store is true. Allow me to say that sellers (on both sides of the fence) have gained a lot from PDVD. Sales were made, profits gained, customers were made happy, and both players have garnered the respect of members to ensure continuous business in the future. I purchased all of my new units (both plasma and lcd) from "SPYDERMAN", because the colormeter was something that really drew me in. It made my T.V's look better.

However, I'll also buy from "Mr. endorsed by Panaphil" because he has items that "SPYDERMAN" does not have or is cheaper, that's the consumer world, that's how things are, and we can't change that, dahil "bang for your buck" in any given situation ang importante dito. See both sides panalo, no need for this "thing".

Guys (sellers)... I, and I guess a lot of people here have high respects for your respective shops. Find a way to share your markets and compliment one another and I know you'll be blessed with quality sales, and untarnished "wala ako masasabing masama" kind of reputation.

vic12 might be playing with us again.  ::)

who knows, that post might also just be a survey for panasonic. only a select few knows about calibration, some or most of us are just da*n lucky we are a member here, Im pretty sure most of us know some people or friends who doesnt know about this thing.

Now, will Panasonic automatically include calibration in every unit sale? Based on this thread, yes.
