hi any owners or previous owners of the marantz sr7500? is this receiver good for music or movies only? someone's selling it to me and i plan to check it this week. any information about this receiver can help me decide. thanks in advance!

Marantz 5007 or 6007. Price difference is 10k. As per specifications their almost the same, except for the added 10 watts which i dont need much, extra features lik audyssey dsx, extra speaker connection for added zone maybe.
Currently Using 685 home theater system. Might add 684 if budget permits. Currently using onkyo 1009. Want to try more musical receiver. Tnx. :-)

the 5007 should be ok na. go for the 6007 if you need 2 hdmi video output, gold plated 7.2 channel pre outs, and phono input.

tama, I prefer using my surplus marantz PM90 int amp for audio than my marantz SR5005, he he....on the other hand, ask yourself kung kailangan mo yung mga extra features ng 6007 against 5007, kung hindi naman, save your 10k pambili ng surplus int amp.......

Heard it with the marantz and the goldenear bookshelfs na Sir Mark nung idemo ni james last friday. Would like to try the cheaper ones muna.
