galing nyo sir! paano nyo ginawa mechanism for the masking system?
sir comet, in the pic below you'll see where i marked a slider with a circle... i have 4 of these sliders situated on the sides of the screen. 2 on top and 2 on the bottom and they slide freely on the surface of the wall. the 2 sliders on top are connected by a 1x3 piece of wood horizontally across the screen, the bottom sliders are also connected with each other the same way. on the sides of the screen, the top and bottom sliders are connected by a wire rope with a pulley right above the top sliders so when the bottom sliders move up, the top sliders will move down and vice versa. this directs the movements of the 2 pieces of 1x3 wood across the screen...the bottom sliders move up and the screen becomes 2.35, and when the bottom sliders move down it shows the whole screen which is 16:9. to make the sliders move an actuator motor is connected to the bottom sliders. medyo nakakalito explain sir but it works. the relay board in combination with a couple of limit switches tells the actuator whether it needs to move up or down. and another relay that has an infrared capability is also connected to the relay board and allows me to control the whole thing with a remote.
Nice! galing din nung circuitry sir for the remote!
here's a video of the screen in action. this is a 128"(16:9) fixed framed screen that goes up to reveal the LED TV and down to cover the TV again. also shows the masking system working. pardon the background noise, my ht is right next to the kitchen.http://youtu.be/ZwUZXVYFklM
