Update:
<Guys, let me know if this is just a psychological effect of my tweaking and tweaking and tweaking..?>
I just watched a movie that was full of dialogue and again, the harshness was back. I returned my speakers to "Small" again and set the crossover at 70Hz. I set it back to "Small" when using 5.1 because, I heard that setting the speakers at Large sends a lot of power from the amp to drive the speakers. Which, may not be good in the long run.
I then noticed when I stood up, the sound seemed better as I got up.
I then remembered that the CSi A6 has a black antenna looking stand at the back, so I tilted the center speaker to point a little lower than usual so that the tweeter would be pointing directly at my ear level. And it is much much better now because of this.
Not tiring mid-range sound + speakers set at small + no more need to increase center channel volume = More peace of mind and movie joy!
Hehehe..
Next project, since my couch is backed up against a concrete wall, I'm planning to put a thick curtain behind me to reduce the sound reflections. Should I still install the "egg-crate" looking foam on the wall behind the curtain?
