Bro skeeter,
all of my speakers for my two HT set-ups(1 sa sala, 1 sa kwarto ko) are all made by Daiichi, DTXs, US Audios, Audiofiles, and Daiichis, I have some from all brandnames, so if you're asking if Daiichi-made speakers are of good quality, I'd say they're great, very well worth their price, at worst. I haven't seen any recent Daiichi speaker systems that haven't met my expectations if not surpassed it. Maybe this is one of those cases where we can really believe in the Filipino ingenuity. As I've read in my book How To Build Your Own Home Theater, the author suggests buying speakers of the same brand/manufacturer to ensure timbre matching, and it would be most ideal if all the speakers use the same drivers. That way you wouldn't have to have trouble with such. That's exactly the reason why speaker manufacturers produce speaker systems in groups for HT. Like Daiichi's DTX, Pregnant, DC, etc. lines. And with regards to pareng lance's post, there are older models from Daiichi that are very good too. I have a pair of CT-503s, and they even have higher Peak Power inputs than the newer DTX 9.5 Towers(140 W max RMS), that's 250 watts RMS(Unclipped) for the 503s, and stronger bass too. I installed another pair of Daiichi classic towers (I forgot the model no.) for a friend and that one left me in awe, we used it with Crown center and surrounds, and the difference is so noticeble, and although we had a powered sub, we didn't seem to need it, that was when I decided to use only Daiichis for budget setups. But if you want these older speakers, you'd have to hurry or try to find stores that still have them, because I think they stopped making them. This is the "elite" line that Daiichi used to make before they started using new names, the CLASSIQUE TOWER Series, that's why they really put in those all they had then. But of course, the new ones are great too. As most of us would say, "Just my 2 Cents". TC.
