Stupid question lang ito a...tamad lang kase ako mag-research.  I just don't understand bakit nag-aapura kayo sa LOTR TT 2-disc version.

Meron bang features sa 2-disc edition ng LOTR  TT na wala sa 4-disc?  Balak ko kaseng antayin na lang ang 4-Disc edition  ng LOTR TT sa November kase pareho lang naman eh tapos may extended scenes pa.

Enlighten me please... ;D

Yup..the special features of 2 disc is totally different from 4 disc

Did you guys enjoy the special features that were included with the two disc version of TTT ?

My husband and I enjoyed almost all the features except for the game preview of Return of the King ... we don't play computer games kasi eh.

After seeing all the features... I am definitely convinced that we should have both versions of the film  ;) Super ganda the features !!!

We also noticed some scenes on the film that weren't in the movie at all. That was surprising for us coz it doesn't say naman in the disc na meron deleted scenes eh.

Great features. Sean Astin's The Long and Short of it was cool - super simple but cool. Check out his commercial television directorial debut on an upcoming episode of Angel on Star World  :)

What were the scenes that were included here that were deleted from the theatrical release?

Tanong ko lang, based on the ads of Interactive entertainment, pag nap pa reserve ka ng LOTR TT dvd, ang makukuha mo ay poster and limited edition legolas trading card, ito ba ang nakuha nyo?

i don't think may new scenes na dinagdag.  this version is the theatrical edition.  kung ano yung pinalabas sa sine, yun yung nasa dvd.

Does it bother you that they advertise that when you make a reservation, you will get the limited legolas card but instead got the eowyn trading card? Is that alone "false advertising" on Interactive? >:(

I think so too. So far everything I saw in the theatre is in the DVD. Unless I really missed something  ???

Just got mine at Astro Alabang a few days ago! ganda!!! picture quality is soooo sharp! I love the special features,  There a preview of the 4 disc extended edition (which I will be getting also for sure ;D), Also the preview of Return of the King... ok tumutulo na laway ko hehehe.... The preview of the Return of the king game also looks good, (I finished the Two Towers game sa PS2)

A very good buy for 1200! Sulit for me... definately a must have and a companion for the upcoming 4 disc version... sayang lang they didnt include DTS-ES Discrete only DD EX on the 2-disc version, but it will definately be in the 4-disc version... can't wait!!!!

By the way I got the theatrical back to back poster and my package came with the Eowyn trading card.

OIC, thanks for the info  :)

I guess my husband and I were just day dreaming or something. Parang we both felt that the scenes with Gollum, Sam and Frodo na fighting scene or whatever you call it, was kind longer than usual and so is the part with Gandalf and Balrog falling at the neverending cliff or whatchamacallit.  I guess we didn't pay closer attention when we were watching the movie sa theatre.

Defective Two Towers Disc 1?
« Reply #533 on: Aug 31, 2003 at 05:08 PM »
I bought a copy of the Two Towers from M1 this Friday.

There is a defect in the 1st disc, around the 156 minute mark, with noticable pixelation.

I returned to M1 yesterday; apparently, I was the 4th one who is returning the discs because of the same defect! The clerk said it's a manufacturing problem.

Just thought you guys should know; I didn't have the disc replaced anymore for fear of getting a defective one again...

Anyone have the same experience?

i don't think the problem that some buyers encountered is a batch problem. However, from time to time, some defective discs are able to escape the quality control process. Also, some dvd players are incompatible with some titles, especially older players.

I still haven't bought a copy: ubos agad! ;D But I will be getting one next week siguro when a new shipment arrives.

Anyhow, I rented the TT DVD from ACA and it was different from the retail ones. The cover and disc print was nowhere near the retail one (it had Legolas, Frodo, Aragorn and the Army of the Last Alliance from film one. Strange...) and it was only one disc! ??? Weird. I rented it because I was hoping to see the 10 minute ROTK preview, I didn't mind so much sa movie.

And another thing: the picture quality was not really up to par, if you get my drift. I had a friend who showed me a Jack Sparrow copy and it's picture quality was much better and sharper than the one I rented from ACA. Ba't ganun?
