Got the updates too but the comments are not too promising. I can survive without the jukebox but the new firmware seems to have added audio playback problems. I'm still debating whether or not to install the 2.4 firmware.

It's no longer a leak but an public beta. Still, it seems to be buggy. Just wait a week before all of the problems are reported.

Walastik!!!

Nag hintay na nga, tapos iyon din pala ilalabas nila beta.
Sabi pa bawal daw at hindi nila nilalabas iyon, akala mo tuloy
may plano talaga.

Iyon pala wala! wala!  ;D

Warning: Mag unos dili kayo mga kapatid at hindi pa stable ang nilabas nila
siguro nilabas lang nila ito para manahimik yung makukulit na umaasa.

I decided not to install this beta firmware.  ;D

Based from the feedbacks, I'd rather wait for the official release and see how it goes. I'm having playback issues, pero minor lang naman, pwede pang pagtyagaan until the real firmware is available.

I installed the beta, so far no problem, although haven't played with all the settings yet. The one thing I miss is the Internet Radio, and replaced it with the Jukebox. I hope they put it back in.

I tried downloading and install the jukebox, but everytime its right about ready to finish download, it throws an error regarding network problem...  ???

The nice thing is that it corrected the problem playing my old mp3 files and videos on youtube. The funny thing is, every time they release a new one, they always break something.  ;D

I think the Internet Radio can be enabled via the Media Library Tab :)

i also tried the 2.4beta fw. very frustrating because i really wanted to try out the jukebox function but everytime i try to download it, it timed out. i wonder why one has to download it via the xtreamer and not via pc.

anyway, my suggestion is.... beta not try it na lang.  ;)

@tempter & @natosan

Do you both have an internal HDD? Not sure but probably, XT1's RAM is choking the download?

no it wont, the c10 can accept 1080p signal. but imho, i would usually set my sources on what my panel's native resolution is, to avoid upscaling or downscaling that will be done by the source or panel.

i'm using an external hdd. xtreamer is saying XT1 can run the jukebox so i'm assuming the RAM is enough to handle the download.

thanks sir iinas!  follow-up question po... so kung naka-set ng 1080p ung xtreamer ko... nag-upscale po b ang tv ko to output the 1080p signal o nag-dowscale po to output it to its native resolution?  sorry po sa ot. na-curious lang po.

salamat!

actually na downscale po since the c10 output is only 720p. i would suggest setting the xtreamer to 720p since wala rin naman effect yung 1080p sa tv mo.

Mga Tsip, so if you buy a brand new Xtreamer right now, you'd get a device with the stable (older - but reliable and smooth playing) FW right?  What is the factory-set FW version these days?

Just want to make sure because some relatives are asking me for more reasonable alternatives to the Mede8er and the A200.  I dont care about jukebox or networking at all - just near 100% playability.

Thanks.

Well the new FW is still in public beta so all XT coming from the supplier even from XT corp will have the old but latest stable firmware. 2.3.2s for XT Sidewinder.

I say give the XT team a time to recuperate and get back on their feet, they are bombarded with so much questions and complains right now. Best thing to do is to forget about the upgrade for now, keep your current firmware, relax and enjoy your movies. :)

I tried the 2.4RC3 firmware on the Xtreamer Mark 1 and so far haven't noticed anything major with the playback from my Etrayz. Tried installing the Jukebox but I always have problems with the setup even though the Internet connection is ok and the download is finished. Noticed that the youtube connection disappeared and the Internet option only has video library left.

Also, I notice that the click sound when you choose options has disappeared.
