What I have experienced is with External Subs, SRT. But my media is AVI. It was unable to display it.

Sir Bitstream, how much will you be selling the Etrayz if it becomes available? Might get this one than buying an external.

I posted this on Xtreamer forum. Regarding a broken or lost remote. Anyway, have you or anybody tried any other remote control (a universal rc please) or device (wireless keyboard of mouse) that works with the Xtreamer.

Sir Eric, do you have the rc on stock?

has anyone been able to use Wifi-N without problems viewing large mkv files?

I am thinking that our Xtreamer is not locking properly to use higher wifi-N speeds and may be defaulting into the lower speeds, similar to how this chap had to trick the use of the Xtreamer wifi-N dongle on his PC running Win7 (to achieve not just the 54mb speed level but up to excess of 105mbps)

Realtek released Softward Development Kit (SDK) Ver 2.0 which addresses the issue of Wireless-N performance.  I understand there will be a big improvement in throughput when you update the Xtreamer to Firmware Ver 2.0 (slightly delayed release, but due out anytime now).

I suggest you wait just a little bit - and save yourself the time and effort in finding a work-around.

Might be of interest for you to know that the chip used in the Xtreamer USB Wireless-N Antenna is also designed and manufactured by Realtek.  Who else would know better how to optimize communications between the Xtreamer and the USB Wireless-N Antenna?

Keep in mind, that the working environment (i.e. distance, obstructions, radio interference, etc.) plays a role in determining the data rate.

I've been using the wi-fi dongle since I purchased it 2 weeks ago and  didn't have any problems watching files from my PC networked via wifi thru the xtreamer. This includes 16gb Transformers Fallen and the like.

eTRAYz will be under P9,000.00 (no HDD).  If enough people commit to a purchase, will be under P8,000.00

The RC will be in stock by early next week.  What happened to yours?

My rc is still fine and working. I was just wondering if you dont have your remote in hand (got lost or accidentally broke). Is there are any other way to operate the Xtreamer?

Nope. No remote means you'll end up reading a book  :D

Personally, I'm not expecting too much on the wifi capabilities. As long as it plays all my HD content or most of it and does not hang if it cannot play it(like the previous releases) I would be very happy hehe! Other features are for fancy, but still very nice to have.  ::)

yes, ive experienced this. some of the built-in subtitles are not recognized by Xtreamer. baka may improvement sa firmware 2.0, released na daw eh. will try this tom.

as of the moment, what i did was use mkvmerge software. i deleted the built in subs and replaced it with external SRT.  ;)

already installed the 2.0 firmware

nakakapanibago yung GUI....it became smaller

installing was a breeze, internet radio is added in the main GUI

currently watching Land of the Lost thru wi-fi streaming and it's flawless....no glitches so far, still have to explore the new features

no probs with my old and new firmware....plays smoothly

i suggest changing your wi-fi routers' antenna, i have a 9db antenna ( approximately 8 inches in height ) installed instead of the original antenna. bought mine from cdr-king for P250 last year. i think there's a 16db or more already, get this instead.

 ???

feeling ko sir ibig sabihin nito pag audio ng file is HD eh i downmix to 2 channels..tapos passthrough 5.1ch eh feeling ko kukuhain lang ung core..so tingin ko wala pa din ung lossless audio passthrough

uy great news me delete na sa wakas!
31. Delete function added to remote control “Delete” (3) button.

hopefully na fix n ung mkv chapters..masubukan pag uwi sa weekend hehe

ganun nga sir. updated my Xtreamer na to ver2.0 na. was hoping that the 5.1 DTS HD Master Audio ng 42GB Transformers 2 would be utilized, as in previous versions DTS lang ung na display ng AVR. next firmware update then. ;D  but the good thing is that the subtitles is already recognized, before ver2.0, hindi pa recognized ung built-in subtitle ng Transformers 2. by the way, dis is m2ts file.

Just tested the new FW for a bit last night.

So far so good. The previous problems I reported in the beta version are now gone. Never experienced any hanging yet. UI is better than the beta version.

I just have one question, I have read somewhere that in photo mode when you press preview it will give you 3 choices, Preview On, Preview Off and Thumbnail. Is this right? Or maybe this is just my imagination hehe!!!

TIA
