Mga sir’s question, I copied mkv files in my macbook and plan to transfer it via usb cable directly to my Mede8er.  Apparently it wont copy or transfer from macbook to mede8er?  But from Mede8er to macbook I can copy or transfer files.  Is this normal?  Or hindi lng compatible macbook to mede8er?

By default, MAC can read but not write to a drive formatted by MED500X. What you can do is download and install NTFS-3G driver to enable your mac to write / modify drives formatted by MED500X.

i need help

i have this 16GB mkv file that displays it's subtitles fine on VLC player ... but when played on the mede8er, it doesn't show (even when english or chinese subtitles are selected)

let's call the file y-men with hdchina audio.  
(subtitle is built in sa mkv, pgs ata, walang srt file)

edit: hindi ba supported ang pgs ng mede8er?
will try updating to the latest firmware ...
also downloading a new version of the mkv

I dont think any of the Realtek players support PGS subs on MKV - unfortunately, PGS on MKVs seems to be the trend these days and it's just too inconvenient for non HTPC users.

PCH-A200/A210 can display PGS.   As for other Sigma players, not sure.

So just try to find the matching HDChina external SRT for that movie sa Subscene or Subtitlesorg.  Meron for sure - pinadala ko na sa asawa ko...hehehe

looks like it nga.  i've done the latest official firmware 4.0.4 ayaw pa rin.  so download na lang ako ng ibang version.  ok lang sana sa ibang movies, kaya lang yung y-men ang daming foreign dialogue.

Thats PGS for sure.  I have the same file but titled A-Men..hehe.   But HDChina is considerate so they converted that graphic PGS to text SRT and uploaded separately.  Mahirap pala gumawa ng SRT kaya tinatamad yung ibang encoding groups.

Hindi ko napansin that you were talking about a new release pala. Next na paguusapan yun mga S Wars by CHD kung meron subtitle problems din.

CHD's external SRTS are very good and easy to find.  I really don't get why that particular group wouldn't simply hard sub for everyone's convenience.

CHD subs work well with any NMT and synch perfectly even with Framestors and Kralimarkos - those badass Remuxes with PGS subs only.

time synch is always perfect when converted from PGS ang problem minsan with conversions is sometimes 1 letter will be wrong and that letter will be wrong for the whole movie. Mali ang letter na enter when converting.

i have several movies that plays only the audio but not the video, but from where i got these files, its plays well though he is using a different NMT.

Sir Tirso, header compression lang yan just remux the file using mkvmerge and for both the video and audio track choose no compression sa extra options tab. Hope this helps.

For those mkv's with header compression enabled, I just remux the file (which I do anyway, to remove those pesky Rus audios & place/synch the Eng subs) rather than update my NMT firmware.

Electrical supply here in our area is a bit iffy .... I wouldn't want to risk a bad firmware upgrade.

Forgot the exact number but it's 4.0.4 nga yata.  It's clearly identified sa Mede8er site, that is, the Latest Stable FW.  Yung meron choice na HD-Audio and Non-HD Audio.  Updating the FW is so easy, but yeah, make sure walang power interruption during the update process.  Steps are also described in the Mede8er site.

Aside from the workaround on header compression, performance especially of full BD rips became more stable after the update - no hanging whatsoever and talagang mabilis compared to the PCH-A210.   I dont do Video Wall kahit meron.

Already updated my firmware to 4.xxxxx, and nabasa ko sa mede8er forum na it's a chipset issue between realtek and onkyo amps regarding synchronizing data.

Anyone here who already configured their Video Walls? i'm having problems with my video walls, folders na icon ang lumalabas sa video wall ko and not the folder.jpg... bakit kaya?

I am and have been successful in my video wall setup. Simple step by step lang ginagawa ko. Naka setup by genre na kasi ako, ie. action, fantasy, adventure, etc...then in that genre folder, andun yung folder ng movie..

Sample lang ha

(1)  Fantasy Folder
      (1.1) Transformers - Dark of the Moon Folder (Should contain the movie file + .nfo file + .srt + etc.)
              (note) the .nfo file should have the imbd link from imdb.com)

              Transformers Dark of the Moon 2011 1080p Bluray.mkv
              Transformers Dark of the Moon 2011 1080p Bluray.nfo
Most of the time, if available na yung bluray fanart ba tawag dun, mas maganda kasi kung hindi indicate yung "bluray sa filename, lalabas sa cover art is "DVDrip" lang.

Filenames should have the order per my experience na (movie title)+(year shown)+(resolution)+(bluray or brrip or bdrip)

Then use the Y2M(Yamj to Mede8er) to process the file.

Then sa med500x, go to the media folder and then point mo sa genre folder ie fantasy, press menu sa remote, lalabas yung videowall icon, then press ok. the fantasy folder will then be included na sa video wall. Then go to videowall, since andun na folder icon nung fantasy, point to that folder then press meniu again to get the genre icon. if you press the fantasy folder sa videowall, all movie files that have been processed by y2m will be displayed(if these were all processed correctly by y2m). initial setup matagal but kung adding new files, madali na
