the scs-01 center atop an auralex board.


the pc12 plus cylinder sub, and a 12nsd beside it, got to hear both alternately. bass so clean and accurate!


the 10nsd with the lampano cd we used for auditioning the speakers in stereo.

sorry as i did not get to take pictures in kapitan's ht room, was too busy enjoying the three ultras sing!   

as the others have been saying a very neutral speaker set for the s series speakers of svs, no coloration at all, vocals during the lampano cd listening was crisp and clear. instruments played with clarity. obviously the speakers does not have great bass but as kapitan said, thats what the svs subs are for. 

sayang i was out already when they auditioned the center channel as well, but i have no doubt it should perform as expected.

so with this last picture, i can conclude that the Ultra never was the replacement for the M series.

S=Small
M=Medium
L=Large but never released

Ultra=new naming system.
so kung may papalit man sa M, it might be called Plus (nothing is in the known pipeline)

same weight sir sa PC12Plus.  pero bulky, hindi siya square, para walang parallel sides.

ang hindi kita sa picture e trapezoidal yung top niya.  so the only two parallel sides are the top and bottom (na different naman ang size and shape)

subjective kasi ang speakers.  since sanay ears ko sa MBS, parang na-mi-miss ko yung MBS.

if i had to describe the sound, the MBS is warmer and the Ultra BS is brighter (a better sounding version of the STS). 

hindi ko kasi na A/B pero bang for the buck yung MBS right now.  super bigat ng MBS.
