Hi R200 fans,

Want a facelift for your R200? here's how you can get the firmware(you wont get it in egreat's website)

a. give +1 positive trader feedback for support services ni toys4geeks
b. once i get it, you will receive a torrent link via email.
c. download it using your favorite torrent (200MB bro!)
d. copy that file to a USB, and review the file size as instructed in my email. if file size does not match, DO NOT PROCEED FW upgrade.
e. assuming filesize is identical to what i emailed, plug USB to R200 unit and reboot.
f. the GUI is improved, with a skin to choose the look. I have not played around with the coverwall, but it has that functionality.

It may not be Red times gui, pero check out the look ni R200:

Done! its a controlled FW release so get the install.img directly from my PC. i've had reports on corrupted FW so i'd like to work with you folks on this one.

at meron yang cover wall, di ko pa nga lang naaaral hehehe. I reserved sana the R200 pro silver for myself, pero mukang arbor ng isang taga PDVD ulit eh, i dont mind.. the more R200 out there the merrier.

sir, i'm not an owner of an egreat media player. but i'm curious... would it be ok if any of the egreat owners have the firmware updated c/o your company/store? thanks!

Hi geriboy,

Any new units from toys4geeks need not fuzz about this coz its preloaded with the latest firmware. R200 took a long while to get their GUI out but man, i tell ya... WOW!

As you are aware, FW is buyers risk but to share our service team upgrades them all with a UPS in tow.
If the firmware fails, we provide a service unit so customers wont come home empty handed.

Currently, egreat R200 fw is on controlled deployment only so those who got R200 from toys4geeks are supported.Its our way to say thanks for the biz, and taking care of our PDVD braders.

Has anyone tried Transformers by ESiR? Ive already got 2 copies from different sources yet still showed pixelation...

It works fine in my laptop though.

yup, laki ng ginanda nya compared sa bland look before. thanks Jim!

is it just me, pero parang pansin ko mas naging OK ang PQ nya ngayun hehehe.

perhaps may preset sa tint/colors/etc.. just guessing.

Last question.. Ano yun coverwall? Can't seem to find anything on the menu about it.

dun sya sa IMS system tools, cover wall reads the thumbgen pix per folder mo where you put your movie, so instead of list, covers yun lalabas, paglaruan mo. kalikot mode muna at wala pang manual yan.

ang unang pinalitan djan yung Movie clapper sa movie tab, sence(scene) and Derector (director)

Copy the FW to your USB, make sure to format it Fat32 and no folders or any other files. From the menus of R200 look for system update yata then choose reinstall.. ur unit will reboot and will install the FW.. Just wait until done. Dont turn off unit or better kung may UPS ka.. Kung wala pray na wag mawalan nang kuryente during update.. though mabilis lang naman sya wala pang 15 minutes and youre done

present!, i tried mede8er like interface, select R1 remote, then reboot.

di ko pa nalaro yung coverwall pero sa file selection palang and font changes winner na siya, hope somebody has the time to try out the cover wall mode.

Coverwall, you mean Movie Jukebox?

Best font for me is either Tahoma Regular or Helvetica Romania. Try it out Guys! both fonts make the GUI neater and more handsome hahaha

Kung brownout you need a flashlight.
Kung watch ka sa movie theater, may flash light yung usher to bring you to your seats.
Kung sa bahay, me big TV ka nga, me HD player ka nga, may AVR nga, hit play in your NMT remote and lights off na!

And back to your seat--- Teka nasan na nga ba yung remote? naupuan ko ba? nahulog sa gilid ng sofa... well you get the picture...

Ito exclusive for Egreat R200 lang --- grab an extra back lit LED remote (limited units), if interested, save agad sa Order an R200 Remote , make sure you post order as these remotes run out really fast. get confirmation of order via mobile.

one thing i noticed if you change the skin to AC Ryan or Medea8ter is that the SCREEN/LED on your player will just be in BOOT all the time. it will not show the usual things when you are in Egreat mode like play time etc.

Mede8ter looks cool and jukebox seems easier to set-up. You just need the index.htm file in your hdd. Also, there will be an added Picture Settings like Tint and Hue.

AC Ryan is kinda buggy. First, it will not recognize your current HDD. It means that it will need to reformat your HDD rendering your hdd empty. Second, AC Ryan skin is kinda slow and boring (as for me)

I prefer Mede8ter skin more than AC Ryan. But Egreat skin, i must say is the best.

As for the Cover wall, i have no time to configure it yet coz of busy school duties...

Did you mean the "AC Ryan" UI of Egreat is buggy, or you are referring to the AC Ryan unit from experience?

When you set your UI to AC ryan it will ask if you wanted to format your HDD 1st, after saying no or cancel ata cant remember.. everything would work out fine....Anyway its fun playing with those he he he
