For those keeping track of the major events related to this show and its winners, here's an interesting timeline I know which is constantly updated.

Looks like success has gone to William Hung's head!

TechTV contacted him for an interview for one of their shows. His one-line email response:

"Sorry, not without reasonable compensation."

Rethink that attitude, William. In 6 months, you'll most likely be begging for an opportunity to She-Bang at local dog shows.

My favorite moment from today's (StarWorld) episode: Seeing Michael Keown sent home early. Talk about someone really full of himself.

Least favorite: Seeing Scooter Girl go home.

I hope she makes the Wild Card show.

mwa ha ha ha! i think this is a big lesson in humility for michael keown.  ::)

yeah. i really feel sorry for scooter girl. i also feel sorry for that other girl ... katie? (the one who sang the faith hill song). i thought she deserved a shot.  and i think the girl has personality. not everyone can be as "exhuberant" as kelly clarkson.

i can name at least three people in the "reject room" who should come back for the wildcard show ... no! not alan! ::)

Oh yeah! Buti nga sa kanya. He could sulk together with that Mandy Moore yoddler ;D and no one would care. :P Wasn't Scooter Girl cute? That group song they performed fitted her to a T. I also hope she comes back sa Wildcard, and win. ;)

I wanted to see more of Camile's performance. It would be interesting to see what her personality's like. The shots of her are all in the audience silently singing with the actual performers.  ;D

Scooter girl, although a good singer, has got that weird factor that doesn't sit well with the judges. Yeah, it would be nice to see her return as a wildcard. I'd love to see what image she'd make of herself then.

And as for Michael Keown, I'm glad the judges sent him back to obscurity. He's so full of himself, despite the fact that he has not proven anything yet. Good luck na lang next year!  ;D

just when you thought it couldn't get any cheesier.....

Manilow Marches Onto 'American Idol'

Barry Manilow will be one of the celebrity guest judges on the current season of "American Idol," Billboard.com has learned. In live episodes airing April 19-20, Manilow will sit in as a judge alongside Simon Cowell, Paula Abdul and Randy Jackson. The episodes will feature the contestants performing Manilow songs, and Manilow himself will perform on the April 20 edition.

"American Idol," currently in its third season, is Fox's highest-rated series of the year so far, according to Nielsen Media Research. Producers are currently trying to persuade Paul McCartney and Stevie Wonder to be guest judges on the show.

remind me not to watch the april 20th episode. LOL

i just finished watching group one...

eye poppin number of the night has to be diana degarmo's. wow! this girl is only 16 and she shows up and sings a kiki dee original from waaaaay back '74! woooo! i was singin' along like crazy! she definitely has musical TASTE! i didn't really expect much from her... was expecting a horribly warbly pop number... but definitely not a classic floor-thumper like "i've got the music in me" (in a disco interp to boot! wow!) and she did it SO WELL! she gets points from me just for her song choice... extra for the great execution!

jennifer hudson... i'm defintely looking out for this one... her voice is made for the dancefloors of america. her demeanor and vocal range remind me a lot of a younger thelma houston, martha wash or jocelyn brown!! all she needs now is a great producer... the way giorgio moroder did magic with donna summer... or a really great song to showcase that voice ... and she can finally be a star!

fanstasia barrino just seems too much like a pro... she's so at home onstage! i don't really like her voice (to be honest)... but she makes do quite well with the ones she's got. and her stage presence was just phenomenal.

definitely a LOT of safe songs there last night. "wind beneath my wings", "open arms", "crazy", "imagine"... these are much too cookie cutter for a competition like this. i appreciated more the attempt of the "older-britney lookalike", when she chose a jazzy song.  ;D

Fantasia is a star and she isn't cocky like that Keown guy! Although I'm not sure if she's got a versatile voice, masyado kasing Macy Gray ang dating.  Right now I'm imagining her sing Stevie Wonder, Elvis and Barry Manilow........mukhang hindi ko mapicture sa Elvis. ;D

Next Thursday, Star World viewers will finally get to see Pinay Camille Velasco's perfomance [most of us know the results already ;) ], although, like acidburn said the group she belonged to was the worst and she was the best of the worst. ;D  Next week US viewers will get to watch (and vote for) Pinay Jasmine Trias. :) This girl didn't get much buzz. I don't think they showed her audition video, no? I heard a clip of her singing Natural Woman. Powerful voice. Sabi nung iba, just like the voice of the very first idol, Kelly Clarkson.

I thought Fantasia could walk away with this year's competition, but after seeing Latoya perform, I don't know anymore.

Amazing Third Group. With the exception of the Hawaiian guy, I think they all could be in the Wild Card show.

In other IDOL news, Donnie Williams was supposed to perform in Group Four, but has just been disqualified, since he was picked up by police officers for drunk driving this week. Ironically, he was drinking since his friends apparently threw him a celebration bash for making the Top 32.

still hoping crystal from hawaii will be invited back... but she better leave her ego in the islands.  ;D
