guys, just a suggestion. why not include equipment flexibility as one measure in your shootout tests. which of the CD players would perform well playing pirated CDs and CD-Rs, both 5-inch and 3-inch? you could even go further by testing on CD-Rs recorded at 32X to 4X speeds. unlike sonic quality, which could be subjective depending on the sensitivity of one's ears and CD player's suitability to support electronics, this test is objective.
it would be nice to know which players could match the flexibility of made-in-china generics that cost as low as P1,200 brand new and yet could play practically all types of CDs. the last time i was in manila and went around to audition expesive gears there, i was surprised some players sold in audiophile shops can't play accurately my PC-recorded 3-inch CDs. and probably, someone should document your shootout since this would be an interesting subject for a glossy-magazine article, preferably with photos.
