gwapo naman nito. are these m53's?  any idea kung magkano to mga sir?  Can my amp power these babies, i'm using rxv-750?  ok lang kaya?

Kaya yan bro, but you might be hearing just 1/3 of its full potential. Iba tunog ng mga M5's pag busog.

mukhang may magbebenta ng M34 a hehe
sir dan, black ba ung M34 mo? ilang kilo un?  ;D

Hahaha! Kayo ha.. :D

Zhangoku,

Alam ko yun feeling na yan. Ganyan na ganyan din ako nung bago pa ako sa hobby.

I believe you are looking for the midrange. LFE kasi can be handled by the sub, high freq (HF) can be achieved even by low powered HTiB's (madali lang i-power to). The critical midrange is very important in giving you a convincing immersive feel of the movie, specially w/ very demanding action scenes. The midrange eats up a lot of power.

In my experience, you wont get that in a budget receiver.  Like, come on, imagine if you are the receiver company's engineer and you are asked to design a receiver w/ a budget way under 10k (may tubo pa sila, bentahan 20k), may tuner, amp, preamp, & power for 7 channels ???

Luckily, your marantz has pre outs, so the simplest advice is to go for power amps. Its cheaper than going for the more powerful 50k-70k receivers that can provide you the midrange slam & umph.

Nagpalit na po ako ng speakers, kasi more on audio na ako. I am now using a dynaudio floorstander. Now kung alam mo kung magkano ang Dynaudio (doble ng M52) .... and masasabi ko lang ngayon eh, mas maganda pa rin performance ng well powered Mission M52 (at more HALF the cost) sa Home theater. Pero sa music, malayo lamang ng Dyn, but its another price class of course.

Kaya pala may Dyn owner akong friend na bilib na bilib sa performance ng Missions ko. But do take note, I really powered the M52's very well (200w bi-amp  :o :o), baka bumili kayo ng M52 & use with a budget receiver tapos sabihin nyo pangit... :D

Well, above is my quote from early this year and there are many more quotes before (last year) that are encouraging the use of power amps. I have been a firm believer of power amps even before the Bada power amps were conceptualized. Truth is, it was the absence of affordable power amps that forced the conceptualization of the Bada power amps. ;)

I would recommend that you enjoy your setup first. Upgrade slowly as compared to upgrading all at once. Each upgrade brings Joy to any A/V enthusiast. Savor that Joy & digest it first before you go for another. This way, you can experience the difference of each.

PS: sino si Joy?  ;D

hi all!

which of the following is the best option for my rear speakers, based on my current set-up (M73-fronts, M7C1-center)?

a. M70;
b. M7DS; or
c. M30?

Please take into account that I might be upgrading my fronts by next year, pero mission ulit. My only concern is that if I get the M70 or the M7DS, i won't be able to use either with the newer line of missions, like the M34 series or the M5s.

Thanks.

bro kt, bili na. Tested mine last weekend and  :o wala pa yung power amps pero laki nang pinagbago from my previous set-up  ;D mayron din konti na nandun sa dati set-up na diko nadidinig now pero i think sa amp setting lang ang dahilan nito. Using Marantz kasi did not go well with the Mission so I opened my still in the box 659 and dun mayron ng wow  ;D

about the M5c baka mayron pa niyan  ;)

i wouldn't be really sure how to answer your question  ;) the surrounds for me is not as critical as the Fronts & Center kasi (this is also what i hear from others). I originally wanted a M5DS kaya lang wala pa ako makita. In my few hours of testing without proper calibration, ok din naman and tunog ;D

up for my query.  ;D

pards,

If you can still get an M71 or M71i, the better.  Para just in case you decided later on to use it as fronts for other set up, no problem.
I had the same set-up before.  Even got an M74, then released it.  sayang. Tapos naging M73, M7c1 & M70.
Then I decided to sell the M70, kasi medyo mahina and replaced it with M71i.  Now only the M71i is left of my mission babies.  They are friends with my wharf floor standers.

good luck!

mon

^uy, does that mean you will let go of your M7DS?  ;D

because i have a vested interest  ;D, i will tell you that they are located in 16th avenue in cubao. from my inquiry,  they have the M30i, the M5s, the volares and the elegantes. i don't know which variants in the series are available though because they are open only M-Sat and I wasn't able to go yesterday.

telephone numbers below:

IMHO - Since Missions are well easy to drive - "any avr would do well". Its just a matter of what type of performance in an avr do you prefer. Mine's an HK avr335 + M34. "SLAM BAMMM performance"  ;)
