the 785 model and the portble DMV4 does, pero im not sure bout the 9000-315.....

yup... my dvd-9000-315 slim plays PAL dvds perfectly!

have you tried raon shopping center? i once saw a store there that sells surplus parts including remote controls... baka sakali meron dun.

or perhaps try contacting techpoint. they can probably help you find a replacement.

i actually had the same problem last christmas... all of a sudden, my remote stopped working altogether. luckily the unit was still under warranty and watson's replaced it.

good luck to your friend and please post naman here if he's successful... i think it'd be handy to keep a spare remote (just in case.)

hi guys!

i just bought a nextbase s200 ht in a box. ok naman sya when playing dvd's.
may problem lang when i play audio cd's, mp3's, and video-cd's.
the player hangs in some parts of the discs eventually. dont know what triggers this, pero almost all of my discs, ganun nangyayari.

i had the unit replaced twice, pero ganun pa rin. it can't be the discs naman, kasi puro original naman mga audio cd's ko and they play fine on other players.

anyone know what's goin on?

I'm thinking of buying a dvd player and nextbase is my preferred brand but i don't know where to buy one, where can i find a store that carries a complete line of Nextbase model ranging from P3,000 - P6,000

I went to virramall last week and saw some stores that sells MDV7 model (i'm sure about the "7") and the one with an LCD and there another one in farmers-cubao basement that sell Nextbase model that is of slim-type. can you recommend a good model that is within my budget... Thanks in advance.

try mo sa rockfire o kaya sa raon shopping center. prefered collection of NB-785, NB-783, DVD-9000. first two can decode dts and dolby. yung dvd-9000 only dolby can be decode.

So far no Nextbase model can able to read DivX files.

i finally finished reading this thread! anghaba!

naayos ko na rin yung problem ko sa NEXTBASE S200 HTIB ko.
dati kasi it always skips and freezes whenever i play audio-cd's, mp3's, and vcd's.
so what i did, i put an auxillary fan sa tapat ng vents nung player and viola! ayos na lahat!
no more problems!

nextbase = panalo

Try getting the NB-785 model, ganito rin ang sa akin which i bought last year pa and so far am very satisfied
with the performance. (kelangan lang adequate ventilation to keep this player cool para minimal yung disc skip

Before, ginagamit ko yung Altec Lansing 251 (5.1) speakers ng PC ko, ganda ng tunog clear and maganda bass
kaso hassle na tanggal-kabit from PC to DVD player to PC again.

Just wanna share this info:

Region-free methods for Nextbase (DVD 9000)

NOTE: The remote control must point at the remot sensor, in order for the DVD player to function correctly. Angle: Aproximately 30° from each direction. Distance: Max. of 7m from the front of the remote sensor.

1. Open the player's tray.
2. Using the remote control, key in the following: 8, 4, 2, 1.
3. The On Screen Display changes to region code and Macrovision setting.
4. Select the desired region code (9 = region free) and Macrovision setting with Enter.
5. Close the player's tray.

Wala lang... baka trip nyo mag-experiment.

I just found out last night that the remote for my Nextbase bulky conked out. I opened the remote but all the contact points are intact.

I've read the posts regarding the remote control and I am wondering if a replacement can be found anywhere. Also, if I buy a universal remote, would anyone know the code for the Nextbase? And what brand of universal remote was used?

I'm pulling my hair right this minute. kakainis when your remote is not working.

Hello!

I've finally bid farewell to my NB-785 after more than 8 months of good use with very little hassle.

No, it's not sira, naarbor lang ni utol when he (w/ his family) visited me last Sunday, naiinggit sa quality nung dvd na pinapanood ko sa mga kids para manahimik, he's using kasi Pioneer vcd mini-compo. Since magbebertdey at Laguna pa sila galing e di binigay ko na, pinasulitan ko na lang kahit 200 sabi ko pambili man lang kahit pdvd. (btw, saan ba da best bumili pdvd?

Ooops, baka me taga optical media board jan? ahahaha... magagalit si chairman edu

PEACE!).

In the meantime, I have to watch muna dvd's on my pc through its 17" AOC flatscreen monitor na madalas ko rin namang gawin kasi kakumpitensiya anak sa ht sa baba watching his favorite cartoons/family discs for the nth time. (Ano ba yan, computer na sa work computer pa rin sa bahay, haaay naku... techno stressed na ko

). Medyo tinatamad pa kasi ako bitbitin ung pc pababa to connect it to my tv.

Hmmm.... ano kaya maganda bilhing player ngayon? $:-\$
