I'd suggest you steer clear of acetone, as well. I agree with the scotch tape recommendation - that's what I did.

I also used the back loose leaf as my insert. I trimmed the sides with a cutter, though, so it would fit into the left side without folding when you close the case.

All for naught, since I'll be selling this soon.  :-\

I'll give Randyv and the warehouse team a heads-up so they can start processing a replacement.

A DVD containing the "Scorsese on Scorsese" documentary, for me, would in fact be "the best copy of this DVD that money can buy" - despite it not being in a fancy metal case.

definitely have to agree with this one.  i got the r3 steelbook case but also got the r1 version for the scorcese on scorcese feature.  it's definitelly worth it!

Saw some 4 copies in Odyssey MOA.  It seems the steelbook are everywhere and is not as limited as we first thought.  Probably limited to a few hundreds?

It seems most people get their copy from Astrovision/plus, so Odyssey ang maraming stock.  In a month or so, mauubos din iyan...

I don't think it's that limited, either. I see it everywhere, even many Astros.

Parang nananakot lang yung Warner promo girl who said it was very limited since the Philippines allegedly wasn't supposed to be included in the countries that would receive a steelbook.

Para makabenta.  ;D

If that was their marketing ploy, it did worked.  The first batch sold out like hot pancakes.

Being the first steelbook available locally, the curiosity factor rank high, and especially since it won the top Oscar and it is in a genre that appeal to DVD collectors.  If not for the missing Scorsese documentary, I doubt any buyer would have been disappointed given it's price.

As for me, no regrets, and keeping it despite the missing docu.  I seldom watch the extras anyway (except when it's a Criterion)...

I doubt there's 10,000 copies of this LE, Da Vinci Code Giftset is only 5,000 and it is still widely available (granted that one is pricier), so is the 999 Troy LE.

Still give it a month or two, and it will become rare as well...same as those Lenticular Batman Returns, Corpse Bride, and even the Superman Returns LE.

Slightly OT:
I used J&J baby oil to get rid of the MTRCB sticker goo. The gunk came off so easy! But the surface was already scratched from a prior attempt using a nail file so I used a black permanent marker to fill in the scratches.

The blackened filled in scratches actually blend in with the art. Kinda. But it looks fine.

there are still copies at music stores. try odyssey, music one... i had mine from odyssey. i think the copies were widely distributed. stocks from astro stores ran out first because that's where customers would go first to buy dvds.

checked my copy this afternoon & darth mond is right, the Scorsese on Scorses feature length documentary is missing. what a disappointment, as this is the supposed highlight of the special features. :(

The reason for the omission of this lengthy feature is because disc 2 of the R3 release is only SINGLE LAYER DVD. I guess for the R1 version, it is DUAL LAYER DVD. And it seems that this R3 second disc came from a different source than the first disc. If you will compare disc1 and disc2, you will notice that the print on disc2 is slighly blurry and the whites are a bit yellowish (parang P*ted), unlike on the first disc where the print is sharp and the whites are truly white.

The 2nd disc on my R3 has the same face print quality as the 1st.  Checked the 2nd disc on the PC and it only has 2.4Gb data.   How long is the Scorsese documentary on R1?
