per extreamer site, there is already 2.5.4. Has anyone upgrades to this fw already?

I did, not much difference in my opinion...

sino sa inyo ang nakaranas na mag-hang during playback? gamit ang portable HD or HD ecnlosures

yung tipong titigil, then after 10-15 seconds tutuloy naman sya. pero intermittent madalas?

Sayang kasi if I pay megavideo then it's slow pala for me :)

Whenever I turn on my Xtreamer laging may loud noise coming out for about 10 secs. Initially akala ko yung external hdd kaya bumili ako ng isa pa. Nung sinubukan ko, ganon pa din. I'm not sure if it is the fan making the loud noise or other parts. Tunog niya parang drill ng dentist.

Pano pala buksan yung sige panels? Thanks.

Known behavior talaga nang Xtreamer yan, very noisy fan during startup.  I wouldn't even call it an issue.  Mawawala rin naman eventually.

Akala ko iba pa yung fan issue niya yun pala yun na yon  ;D. Thanks for clarifying.

Do you still having stalling issues while watching movies? I haven't upgraded my xtreamer since I got it early last year. Ayaw kong galawin kasi at baka lalong magkaproblema. But I've been experiencing stalling, restarting issues with mine lately kaya nag-iisip na din ako magpalit ng firmware.

Recently, I've experienced connection issues between my HDD dock and Xtreamer.  Habang nag-p-play yung movie, biglang mag-stop then goes to Xtreamer main menu, na wala na ang USB.  Then after a few seconds, mag-on uli yung USB.  Thank goodness meron siya Play Resume.

Pero I upgraded to the lastest firmware last weekend lang, and haven't tested it yet.  Sana di na maulit yung USB disconnection.

Are you using an external hard drive? If so how many? Are you using a USB multiport? Are you using a USB 3.0 external hard drive?

I have experienced this issue 2x since I hooked up a USB 3.0 COMPATIBLE WD my book 3.0. I wonder if it's the cause?

Siguro twice total during the last 5-7 movies I've watched lang.

I use the el-cheapo cdr-king HDD dock na self powered, USB2.0 lang.  Not a biggie naman, kasi nga meron naman resume play.

Hi guys,

i am actually using the ixtreamer ver 2.5.  Recently, i experienced the player shutting down during movie playback however it turns on again.  Although hindi naman ganun kahassle, im just wondering if its a bug by reason of the aforesaid version.  By the way, unlike the similar problems above, the movies i played are in the internal hard drive so i don't think it is caused by faulty usb hubs (although together with the internal hdd, i also have external drives connected by cd-r king usb hubs). What do you think? Presently, i already updated to 2.6 but have not used the player yet.  thanks.

I've managed to downmix my dts hdma movies to play dts from my SW to my yamaha receiver by downgrading via emergency_XT_2.3.1. but is still unsuccessful with dolby true hd. i went to the xtreamer forum and confirmed that firmware is the issue with sidewinders. still awaiting for their update. fyi. thanks.

DTSHDMA always contains a DTS Core.

DD/AC3 has to be interleaved with Dolby TrueHD in order to get legacy sound.  Kung TrueHD lang, wala kang maririnig.

di kasi gumagana sir yung dtshdma nung 2.5.2 fw ko. kahit latest nila 6.0 issue pa rin to. yung truehd merun naman kaso prologic sya.

For my xtreamer, the loud fan issue happened when I upgraded to 2.5.2.  I opened my xtreamer and tried putting a little white grease on the fan... it lessened the noise a little. However, after a while, i noticed it again. It does seem to happen at start up.

I got fed up ... so I downgraded it to 2.3.1.

For whatever reason, the fan noise disappeared and my xtreamer seems to be very, very stable with this firmware.

I will try upgrading to 2.6.0 tonight and see how it reacts...
