Well, is daughter aware of the existence of homosexuals and that Kurt Hummel is a HOMOSEXUAL character? If she is, then I don't know what's wrong with talking to your daughter about it instead of shielding her from the realities of life. There are gays and there are straights, no big deal.
As for myself, I say: WELL, IT'S ABOUT F-ING TIME! I'm surprised it took this long for a boy-boy kiss in this show.
I very well know that she can identify a gay with a not. However what we are talking about here is the
act of a boy to boy kissing. At her age...she is not expected that there is such a thing....and I don't think IT'S ABOUT F-ING TIME for her to see such things.
At her age of 9, I think shielding her from this
acts is still appropriate. My daughter is studying at a Catholic school and same sex kissing will never be acceptable to them. Not because this things happens now is that we will have to embrace it. When I was grownig up, I don't remember seeing similar acts to what I watch on TV, now if one will be exposed early that such thing happen and lets you think it is acceptable... then I wouldnt be surprised that one day they will try it and be les or gay one day.
Oh and if your daughter is any way, shape or form interested in the arts, well, she better get used to homos.
Oh yes..she is very much into it. Im pretty sure homo friends and community will come some day and I dont have a problem with that. I love my homo friends and I like them being around.
Why is a kissing scene between two boys (or two girls) any way less approprate than a kissing scene between a boy and a girl? I'm sure children raised in gay/lesbian households would think this isn't a big deal.
Simply because it is normal to see a boy and a girl kiss. When we attend lets say a wedding and the bride and groom kiss..we do not cover the eyes of our children. C'mon @Klaus....I do understand your point and I do not have any problem either with what you want to happen, but being a parent...we have a different POV and belief on how one's children should be brought up.
Okay ....
Glee, initially it was intended for the youngs right?...similar to High School Musical, it was only later I believe that a
PG advisory was flashed on the screen?
