1.0.39 is the most stable for the 1073 generation. daig pa nya sa codec yung 1185 if you ask me.

I saw a DIY firmware for R200 (1073) pero i wont suggest kasi ma brick ang unit. when i get back a board i  RMA, i can try there first and see if its worth the upgrade.

nakita mo ba yung 3-in-1 (3 UI in one) ? some tried it then reverted to the original 1.0.39 firmware ng R200 so unless there's a compelling reason to upgrade, stick to 1.0.39

same here, ayun, natapos din ang sorting ko accross disks, never again will i ever sort files just to remove duplicates

The Egreat 1185 (R160, R6A-ii, R1-ii, R200S)  comes with a DLNA DMR (Digital Living Network Alliance Digital Media Renderer).  That means another DLNA device can use the Egreat 1185 to process media without you having to do anything else with the Egreat 1185 other than turning it on. Music can be played without having to turn on the TV, or you can display photo's on your TV directly from your phone. A device which  controls this process is called a DLNA DMC - Digital Media Controller.  Windows 7 has it's own DMC and it's the "Play To" function of Windows Mediaplayer 12.

Q: does the egreat NMT output audio to both hdmi audio and stereo jack audio output?
A: tried this upon receipt of a query on an egreat r160, and it works. This means you can channel audio to an old stereo accepting aux input

Go to file manager, go to drive/folder you like to delete.

Press the button at the left just beside zero,
Or press green will bring up the delete / copy / move / multi select

ANNOUNCEMENT:
New firmware out (september/2011)

Cool things i like in file manager mode:

#1 Cover Art Mode (cover.jpg / cover wall)   (last row colored buttons - yellow)   - great if you want to navigate the cover page instead of the boring file list

#2 Poster Mode (last row colored buttons - blue) - great if you want to prefer browse the poster containing the about info  instead of the boring file list

Go Cover Mode (in File Manager mode, press Yellow button)-> Navigate Covers and Select Movie -> see the Poster, navigate & press select again in remote to see the movie Play Movie
..




NOTE these require your HDD to be thumbgened patience is required, i created an egreat as default template and renders on 1080p

Sir help po. I tried thumbgen and able to view the poster mode with info output in the lower right portion,however nung nilagay ko na sa player di po lumalabas. Gusto ko po talaga yung may info.

Also noticed that thumbnail is a little washout

This thing keeps popping up about 3 to 4 times until I decide which movie to view. Have you encountered anything like this before? Did I accidentally press something to have activated this?

I am not really sure sir Jim. It weird. It became this way when I downloaded a film and transferred it to the external HD, like I always do. When I hooked the HD up to the R180, this "tip" kept on popping up and the movie file I transferred could not be found. So I took the HD out and connected it again to the laptop, I saw the movie file on explorer. When I hooked it up again on the R180, I still could not locate the movie file and the "tip" thingy is still popping up.

from the looks of it, it cannot write into the .Theater folder for some reason, (likely permission of the folder or file). I will try to delete and see if it goes away. (mali pa spelling ng through )

I know...na pansin ko din. Thanks for the screenshot. I wanted to do the same but I don't have a camera anymore. But, that is exactly what is happening to my player. Hope there is a resolution to this as it's pretty annoying.

Hi sir Jim! Ok na. I deleted the ".theater" folder and the ".part" file. After that, the popping window never came up again.

Grab the template for EGreat at toys4geeks.nexus.ph under support tab.

I prefer my posterart (about.jpg) and coverart on 1080p, para crisp, you can layout as well with the thumbgen designer, but you will love picking up high def posters and covers and scale them to your liking.

The new subtitles feature allows you to save the font size and location preference daw per movie, have not checked but if it does ok yan esp. for those with subtitle overlayed to the movie itself, you can relocate them
