Same thing, which I said OKC is no push over over the Lakers, they have answers to both.

While LA has no answer to...?  :)

Well you didnt even answered my question?

Ok Howard is a 3time DPOY...so he's a defensive stud too.   Gasol is one of the most versatile big men in the game.  I wouldnt even consider them great.    But at the very least.

They are very good.

"Good sila na medyo great" i dont know man....smh.

Bro, Lakers were also 2nd in the league in rebounding last year.   So rebounding wouldnt be an issue anyways. What Howard will bring is overall defensive impact.   Lakers were mediocre in PTS allowed last year, ranking 15th.

Orlando Magic, with its defense centered around Howard, were 7th last year.   And his teammates, individually, were not particularly noted for their defense.

Against Miami, rebounding is the only one that's an improvement to the Lakers. Miami/OKC can slice through any Defense as they are now built they still don't have an answer to Durant.

Anyway....its normal when fans of the defending Champions feel threatened.   Im into running and biking, when you are in the lead pack, its hard to maintain the lead, and you are always looking behind you.   Mas maganda pa just behind the lead pack and following lead pack's tail....drafting  :P

Who's threatened? Well me, as a fan I'm more threatened of Boston and OKC. :)

^ I dunno its already been established, or I thought I already established my self as a Boozer and Carmelo hater and not a Kobe/Lakers hater.

:)

I'm just confident of Miami, how they are an Offensive/Defensive "nightmare" on other teams.

Ill be back sa season na lang.  Im done.....smh...

I said "same thing", great/good. Gasol is called "soft" by some people for a reason, and Dwight, well yeah "same thing" vs. Perkins Ring though he only made the "good sila na medyo great" rank for me. ;)

you sure he can play center against the likes of dwight howard? even oldies like KG and TD can give lebron nightmares if left to play one on one in the post.

sometimes people exaggerate into thinking that lebron is the God of basketball, isang title pa lang yan tsk tsk

Its not an attitude, its a Historical Fact sir pagdating sa Miami.

e.g. Bulls killed Miami sa Regular games sweep atan noon 2010-2011 season, then first game sa ECF Miami, lost, but then naSweep na ng Mia next games.

Saka di lang naman sa Miami, pati sa ibang teams, nagiiba chemistry pag sa Playoffs.
So regular games won't say much regarding sa match ups and team play (NA yun naman ang context sir ng usapan namin), but its entertainning and importante siyempre sa Standing.

hindi rin siguro.... ;D ;D ;D

Its not an attitude, its a Historical Fact sir pagdating sa Miami.

e.g. Bulls killed Miami sa Regular games sweep atan noon 2010-2011 season, then first game sa ECF Miami, lost, but then naSweep na ng Mia next games.

No offense sir, I like LBJ, but I don't think he can play center for a quarter, let alone a whole 48 mins. game.. Maybe against other Eastern teams pwede cause wala naman masyado great center or bigman, but we all saw in playoffs that he can't Guard Garnett in low post, helpless..  Then sa West, Heat struggles against Dwight Howard, then dagdag mo pa si Gasol.. Then the Center and power forwards of the west, Love, Griffin, Bogut, Lee, Duncan, Gasol, and so on.. LBJ against these big men? nah..

I hate Kobe, LBJ, and Durant winning games, but I like and enjoy watching them.. Go Spurs..

I like the Warriors to be the surprise team, Nuggets make some noise (they have a superstar PG  :)) and Clips to go deep in playoffs.. kaya lang LAL, SAS, and OKC pa rin ang elite..  :(

All D12 has improved with the Lakers anyway is rebounding. Some even say Bynum was better all around.

Bynum = better low post offense, better FT shooter
D12 = more active defensively (protecting the rim, rebounding)

Bynum = immature
D12 = diva

pick your poison

nah. KB24, Pau, and Nash can handle the offensive load.. the Lakers got D12 to be their defensive anchor.

Bynum is also a good defensive anchor, but sometimes parang tinatamad at walang gana.

im also curious as to how Bynum would handle the spotlight in Philly being the focal point of the offense and defense.

as for Phil Jax, i think he's better suited to handle the multiple egos on this year's Lakers compared to potato head.

unfortunately, those are only regular games. it won't say much since Miami has another level when it comes to the playoffs.

Well until proven otherwise (Beat Miami) then Miami not needing a true center in today's NBA still stands sir.

Maybe after a few more championships i'll believe that miami has the best formula.  The spurs have 4 championships in modern basketball thanks to a dominant duncan. The lakers have 5 rings, 3 with shaq and 2 with Gasol and Bynum.  Dallas won with a defensive Chandler and a scoring Nowitzki.  Boston has 1 ring with a brilliant KG that year and a defensive Perkins, only the detroit pistons won without a legitimate center(unless you REALLY conside big ben a center).  Thats 11 years since '00 that a true center was present(and yes, Duncan is indeed a center, check him out during his wake forest days and he played both the 4 and 5 spot just as much) in a championship team.  Lebron, as good as he is cannot play center, roy hibbert of indiana gave him hell when bosh went down.  So did KG, and only upon bosh's return was miami able to match up properly.

You mentioned beat miami first to say they dont need a center, well i believe The Dallas Mavericks did that last year.  Regarding Miami having a different level during the playoffs, i think the same could be said for each top 4 team from both conferences, to declare that only miami has that is arrogance, but because you are a heat fan, its love for your team so that comment should be forgiven.

Baligtad lang tayo ng Belief :) pero ganon na nga rin. Until proven otherwise since "we are the (current) champions my friends ♫ ♪ ♪ ♪ ♫ ♫"

I rather believe Coach K though regarding leBron heres the LINK

Because of team play, Hibbert had a hard time, he can't even touch the ball once Spo drew up the plan to neutralize him and KG... didn't they lose the ECF?

Also Bosh is not a True Center.

Another "evidence" Riley/Spo's system worked/works.

You mentioned beat miami first to say they dont need a center, well i believe The Dallas Mavericks did that last year.

Well the problem last time was LeBron as is he was the reason they won this season and their system is not that polished.

Regarding Miami having a different level during the playoffs, i think the same could be said for each top 4 team from both conferences, to declare that only miami has that is arrogance, but because you are a heat fan, its love for your team so that comment should be forgiven.

I didn't say Miami only has it, for now the example regarding the Bulls is the evidence of this. Bulls were number 1 in a season then they lost to Miami at the playoffs.

No arrogance there, just facts. Why am I biased when I think Mavs, Spurs, Clippers and specially OKC will still give Lakers fits? and Boston will still threaten Miami and may lose to them? Offcourse every team can lose to another team.

But the conversation/context was a fellow poster gave dates of regular season games of Lakers vs. MIA and OKC to see daw and evaluate the Team Matchups. I only mentioned the "levels" because a Playoff Series is very different and we won't properly evaluate teams in regular season.

^ Is the "level" thing clear now?

Like all of you, i cant waiit for the new season to start.  :)

Tagal pa, kaya discussion muna. :)
