When they were playing with BB they were a loose bunch enjoying the game. I admit that there was no structure at all when they were playing under him but with the talent level that they have, the team almost always came through with wins. When Coach MB and Coach MDA instilled a structure that they would have to follow ayun na....if the wins of coach BB didn't count LA would be a horrendous 12-29 I think. Playing without a structure would only get you so far specially in the playoffs where every nook and cranny of your weakness will be exploited by the other team but I believe they would have made the play offs with BB instead of missing it altogether.

I just wish that MDA just accepts the fact that he isn't the guy for this team and resigns. Wag na nyang pagpilitan pa na maayos nya.

Di lang ata swerte ang LA pag may 4 na All-Star sa team nila since Shaq-Kobe-Malone-Payton. Same positions pa sila. Hehe.

In retrospect that is what history shows but that team with Malone and Payton made it to the Finals with a lot of excess baggage like Kobe's rape case, Shaq's pursuit of a mega deal extension, Malone's injuries and their designated sixth man...Slava Medvedenko hehehe. There was a recent interview with Payton re this version of the 4 headed monster as compared to their version...in his view they would have decimated this version. payton vs Nash? Malone vs Gasol? Are you kidding....Oneal vs Howard? He will destroy this version of Superman. Well...Kobe will neutralize Kobe....chucking up 30 shots hehehehe

Nash will be one of the MVPs retiring without a ring.
Wrong decision joining the Lakers this season.
He'll be better off with OKC sana.

I wonder why kobe hasnt start to speak out despite all the current loses of LA.

If I were Nash I would've picked Miami. Sayang talaga. Gusto ko lang magchampion LA because of him.

I had this feeling when I was rooting for the '06 heat, all because of Zo.  I hated shaq, but I loved Zo's tenacity to fight despite the size disadvantage.  same din when the C's won their championship.  sa wakas meron na si KG, Paul P and Ray-ray.

Quote
The Definition of Insanity

The Lakers are high comedy right now, and the most recent twist is Mike D’Antoni putting Pau Gasol in a bench role “permanently.”  Of course the Lakers lost and Bill Simmons put D’Antoni on blast during the game, as did a handful of normally loyal L.A. beat writers.  Simmons said he’s handling Gasol like a JV basketball coach and, like the situation with Keith Smart, anybody with a passing interest in the game knows that D’Antoni is blowing it here.  Gasol scored 15 points with 12 rebounds and two blocks in 26 minutes off the bench, and I’m not so focused on the fact that he’s coming off the bench, but that the Lakers are ditching Pau as a center so Dwight Howard (eight points, nine rebounds, two blocks) can be the focus of a game plan down low.  Gasol floats around the perimeter so Howard can have space to operate, and defenses are more than happy to let that be the case.  D’Antoni is going to go down with the ship when it comes to his system, and everybody with a grudge against the Lakers is going to have an easy target.

I wonder why kobe hasnt start to speak out despite all the current loses of LA.

Oh, he did say something after that loss vs the Bulls:

Bryant even mentioned ditching D'Antoni's up-tempo style in favor of posting up more.

"We're going to have to look at some things," he said. "We're going to have to change something. Probably going to have to post the ball a lot more, slow the game down a lot more. That's just my intuition, but that's my gut right now. I have to take a look at the film again, but we're definitely going to have to change something."

si Kobe lang kasi till now di marunong maging humble. yun ang malaking difference nila ni MJ. gusto nya sya palagi alpha male. kaya nung nawala si shaq, di na ako nag LA. and never rooted for the team ever since.

hehe that would make more sense kung bakit hate nya si kobe. :D

it's not like Kobe-singlehandedly destroyed the 3peat Lakers team. Shaq just wore out his welcome when he fired shots at Jerry Buss. Although si Kobe naman nung time na yun flirted with the idea of signing with the Clippers. So parang pinapili nya din si Buss to pick between him and Shaq. So in away, Kobe had a hand sa pag-alis ni Big Diesel. I loved Shaq too but if I had to pick between him and Kobe at that time, no-brainer na si Kobe pipiliin ko kasi he was in his prime.

As a celtic fan who loves jawing with laker fans, agree ako 100% with the kobe over shaq move, shaq was still dominant but was on a very very steep decline relative to his unstopabble days.  Kobe on the other hand was already a star and shining brighter and brighter as the years passed.  Imo, mj is not as humble as people think, he's just a media darling and has great charisma.  I still remember his HOF speech and thought he was a jerk for doing that, love the guy but some parts of that speech was just off.

yeah, I was going to point out Jordan din but didn't want to come of as a Kobe nut-hugger. haha
I don't get the "hindi marunong maging humble" accusation. What is kobe supposed to do? Play second-fiddle and stop playing the way he has always played the game? Although I'd want him to pass more but the reality is that he doesn't play like that.

What does being humble have to do with what you display on the court though? What does being humble on the court even mean? Pass more? Stop shooting? Apologize for missed shots? Don't celebrate and-one baskets or 3point makes?

Jordan was built the same way. My dad would always call him buawaya even and said that si Jordan na daw pinakabuawaya na player na nakita nya. So di ko talaga gets yung mention of Jordan as being humble. He was an arrogant guy. He lived for the competiton and he knew he was the best and if anyone challenged that, he would prove to them na siya ang best. The Dream Team documentary should explain that. Jordan competed with Magic and he wanted to best Magic kahit sa team practice. I don't know how you can be humble when the intention is to be the best and destroy the competition.
