How many amps will the PP6c33 tube amp give?  If it will be able to drive it, then that would definitely be very nice.....

I see. So it is a physical part an not like typical baffle steps that employ coils, caps, and resistors?

Yes it's like that.

Mark Fenlon & his team came up the "arrestor" device (inside the magnet) after some guy dissed him online, in multiple audio foras saying that his drivers are crap & too fragile, well the guy apparently put a pair of MA drivers in an old speaker enclosure he owns, maybe didn't like the sound so he cranked up the volume too high during burn in period & busted the drivers. After hearing out feedbacks from DIYers, the arrestor was added last year to the newer MA driver models.

Now 106 hours on the chr-70a and I feel like that there is 30-40hz bass.  Rebecca Pegion's Spanish Harlem is so palpable, vocals are very clear and feels the room with bass! The glass diffuser of my pinlight rattles on the early passages (intro) of the song ....... excited to burn-in the second pair!

Now I really need to drop by your house to have a listen...btw, I tried your advice, nilipat ko sa opposite side ng room (sa katapat na wall) yung desk & speakers, ang laki ng improvement sa lows. I therefore conclude ayaw nya yung overhead shelves  ;D

I was in my home office early this morning checking emails, surfing the web & watching highlights on ESPN when my 11 yr old son decided to "chill" & hang out, he asked me if we could listen to an album that has become his "album of the month", it was Lorde's - Pure Heroine in .flac files. I have heard "Royals" & "Team" countless of times on FM radio but it was the first time I was able to listen to the entire album.

My Alpair 10Ps are fully burned in & has about 200+ hours on them so we can cranked up the volume the way kids love to listen to songs. Like most pop albums nowadays, Pure Heroine seems to have forgotten about the mid range frequencies, a lot of bass & highs + Lorde's not so pleasant voice. I can see the excursion of the 10P's cone & was surprised it handled the bass well. What made the album enjoyable to listen to (aside from the catchy tunes & beat) was Lorde's songwriting, she mostly sings about where she came from, the environment she grew up in and you can sense truthfulness in the lyrics.

I mostly listen to jazz, vocals, acoustic & classical nowadays, it was a good break from the norm & good bonding experience with my "nagbibinata" son. The 10Ps can handle most type of music but they shine best when listening to well recorded albums. They are revealing & exposes the "flaws" of the music material, some of the stuff you listen to before might not be that enjoyable with the 10Ps.

Now you are getting more excited!  Fullrangers, as I have read, its main strength are with vocals, small to medium instriment ensembles. Good to hear that you enjoying it with other genres.

These must be things of beauty in person. They look at home in that very tasteful room and set up.
