1)sulit po ba ang cm1 over 685 for my plan to build hi-fi stereo set-up?
1.2) like how many percentage points is cm1 better than 685? 20-30% or what?

2)what are the top 3 best synergy stereo integ amp for cm1 (less than 25k php)?
2.1) what about stereo receiver like hk 3490, any good synergy with b&w? or integ amp talaga ang best?
 
(my music is more on acoustics/folk/classic rock(50%), rock + new wave (30%), jazz/classical (20%)

(if i were to describe what i sound i wish/want: crisp, warm, tipong mapapapikit ka from the sound that you are hearing (like heaven) o kaya naman ay kaya ka nyang pasayawin sa beat pa lang ni bob marley. hehe

any thoughts or recommendation would be greatly appreciated. thanks in advance po

It's best if you can listen to the equipment siguro para alam mo yung sonic signature, para malaman mo if it would match your preference.

For stereo listening, I prefer dedicated audio devices (whether integrated amp or preamp + power amp) over an AV receiver. Decide ka na lang ng model/brand at kung SS ba or tube.

For 25k, check out the Arcam Diva A65 (if 40wpc is enough for your use). I know that the newer model FMJ A18 is out, pero mas mahal ata tong bago.

Sulit yung pareho, although if you're on a budget you may have no choice but to get the 685.  In terms of sound, I prefer the CM1.  Maliit pero malaking tumunog.  Kung may sale pa na Dynaudio Audience 42 sa Listening in Style (mga 25k) I'd listen to it as well. . .

Kung gusto mo ng warm presentation, you need to partner either speaker with a tube amp.  For affordable tube amps, try AMX.  Andrew has amps that fit your particular budget. . . (or baka gusto mong bilin yung sa akin heheheh.) You can also try JojoD. Kung gusto mo ng medyo warm na solid state, try the NAD amps.  The 315bee goes for PHP15k and partners well with the B&Ws.

(like nad c325bee or other counterparts)

nakkatuwa na nakakapagod pala itong hi-fi experiments. having a good and reliable speakers, amp and source is not enough pala. kailangan maganda din ang matching or pairing (synergy). andun daw kasi ang thrill sa paghahanap ng magandang tunog na tumpak sa pandinig mo mismo. haay

Definitely go for the CM1 over the 685

If I didnt have my Proac Response 1SC right now, I'd go for the CM1.

The sorrento finish is very british - just showing off its lineage I guess. 

But I do understand about finish matching - it took me a better half of a year just to complete a calvados finish set for my 600s.

Malamang, may mga naka tago pa dun The series3 kasi were the last of the UK made B&Ws - so some are really keeping those pa.

I won't let go if I were you sir.  I got my set of 601 s3, LCR 60, and 600 s3.  The new models are not made in England anymore.

Yup, the new ones are made in China. It's not an issue for me though.

The designs are still moving forward, and the cheaper raw materials and operating expenses may allow the company to generate better value products at the same cost envelope.

And how much?  I am in Cebu and I inquired at Circuit City, the supposed official distributor down south, but they were asking for 9k for both.  This already includes shipping to and from manila as the units need to be sent there.
