What would a fair price be for a prestine pair of pre-owned dm603s3 and lcr60s3 both black ash?  TIA

Hello mga Sirs.  I'm new in this Forum.  I've got a pair of B&W DM 603 S3 sidelined because my son accidentally dented both tweeters!  Long Story..  My question is where can I have this replaced? And how much?  I am in Cebu and I inquired at Circuit City, the supposed official distributor down south, but they were asking for 9k for both.  This already includes shipping to and from manila as the units need to be sent there.

Anyone who can help?

Do the tweeters still sound right?  Is there any other damage (like cracks or scratches) on the tweeters or just the dent?

Going for broke nako B&W 685 here i come

First impression lasts ...... the day I demo'ed these babies sa SNS ..... I knew this is the one for me .....

Subjective kasi ang topic ng sound quality. Me, I like my speakers laid back. not bright at top end and will give the best possible sound details and near-accurate guitar & bass strings .... imaging is a by-product nalang siguro ......

Only B&W 685 Satisfies ..... next would be Polk RTI-A3 pero I like Nautilus

Cheap-ar*e wires here hahaha.

Acoustic Research MS315 for the mains hehehe. I also use Puresonic 7845 and 7807 types for longer runs.  HiFi Choice rates these poorly for sounding "out of key."  They work just fine for me.

bumili ako sa suking Car Audio shop ko before ng Gauge 12 na Wires .... i forgot kung Rockford Fosgate siya or Lighting Audio ...... pero its better naman kesa Raon Wires and true GA #12 wires ....... Pwede na yun for me ......

bibili lang ako nung mga Kimble or better wires kung may sound proof room nako lol ...... otherwise in my opinion save the money for something else nalang ..... like Ipad

Funny at first when I set it up last night ..... parang na disappoint ako .... I went "Hey .... his doesn't sound right" ..... Kasi bumili nako din Denon AVR 1604 ....... siguro after three hours patulog nako dapat when I unconciously checked the BD player settings .... and nagulat ako naka Night surround effect siya with Dialog enhancer ON ... ayun laking tuwa ko inoff silang lahat .... re-played "Air Force One" and it sounded way better

How does it compare to the 685 that you heard a couple of months back?

^^^ one obvious for me is the 685 has smoother tweeters .... yung high's niya any hindi kasing tining .... pero right now it doesn't bother me ... nasa acceptable level ko yung tining .... and i' very particular with this .....

midbass cannot compare. maliit na speaker lang sa akin 5.25" ..... the 685 will definitely be better in this aspect

plus no speaker stand yet ....... so it's not properly setted up pa til now ghetto stand lang muna

medyo mahirap yang tanong nyo sir, need to audition and compare it with new series carefully. but if decided na kayo na iout yang s3 series nyo please put me first inline for 602 s3 and lcr600. i'm very much interested po and willing to get it asap.

Sir, if you're going with CM or 800 series speakers.... by all means go! Hehehehe.

Basta kaya nung amp/receiver eh mapapansin po talaga ang difference.

Kung sa 600 series din, baka incremental lang yung change.

Hi B&W Senseis!

Is it a bad idea to pair DM603 S3 (for fronts only) with all Onkyo speakers (mid level class) sa ibang channels?

AVR is an AX1.  

Any advise would be highly appreciated.

at least get a matching center. yung surrounds ok lang na ibang brand. very obvious kasi pag hindi matched yung center and fronts. pag nag-pan iba yung tunog

That's my first concern.  I can possibly try to manually equalize the Onkyo center to find some level of matching, if at all achievable.  Same possible issue (could be even worse) if I try to connect a set of 603s as main speaker A and Onkyo's as main speaker B right?

 My opinion Sir, bagay din ang nad sa b&w so ok din ang amp mo, pero you can try other amps like cayin (all tube), and other hybrid integrated amps  (tube pre + solid state power section or vice versa) kasi 683 floorstander siya,  may require a little extra juice, try to home audition sir that's the only way to find out if it matches well with your speakers. Welcome to PDVD  

 I use a Bada hybrid, overall I'm satisfied with this amp just changed the stock tubes to nos RCA's.
