Question pala..  can this play more types of Divx? IN my current Lexing 906, it can play maybe 70% of the AVI-Divx files i download.. the rest ayaw mag play or audio only.. because of newer codecs i guess (xvid, etc). Have to re-encode pa, hassle!  Hopefully this newer model can play more if not all types of AVI/Divx files now...?

OT: sir, paano yong ginagawa nyong re-encode? i have other downloaded divx movies na di rin ma-play sometimes...

use multi-format converting software.   i was able to download Magic Video Converter with serial from a torrent site.  good/simple interface and capable of converting popular formats today.

my neighbor's Lexing plays p dvds but has trouble playing Original discs, it's really weird but has anyone else experienced this?

I hope it's an isolated case, was thinking of getting one pa naman and siyempre I wanted it to play everything.

Wow...now that's what they call Partisan Politics even with electronics.  ;D

Seriously...check out region status.  ;)

Other generic players are now reportedly region locked to R6(China).  :'(

Hi Alfie,

It's really weird  ;D, though I don't think its with the region status because it can read the menu from an original DVD but once I press play it hangs. The longest original dvd I was able to play was my son's Spiderman 2, it runs for approx 3 minutes then it starts skipping then the dreadful hang.  ;D Incidentally, I also have a p'd copy of the same movie and it plays 'til the end credits, fast forwarding and chapter select has no problems. I don't know which to fix... Daym!  ;D ;D ;D

It plays dvdr's flawlessly too but again has trouble with those p'd bd discs. I hope there is just something wrong with the unit itself and that it's isolated to this one.

Ok got a Coby player like that, but it plays Original DVDs but not the single layered Quiapos, and skips the Bluray Fakes.

I bought it back to the store in Trinoma, and they said it's a lens problem so they had it refined or fine tuned? but guess what after 2 months it's the same banana...so I let it go and bought the 895Pesos Ace, which is working fine for the past 6 weeks. ;)

ACE? It's a generic brand right? Can;t remember if saw those in Raon eh...

Does it play everything you put into it?  :D

Yup-yup.

Even on the USB, except of course...MKV/OGM & other High Def files.

Sobrang swerte naman...895 pesos only...he-he. ;)

Pero pang Quiapo talaga....ingat na-lang sa lemon. ;)

a little help on my lexing and hdtv dvd players
« Reply #163 on: Oct 30, 2008 at 08:47 PM »
hmmm i bought a lexing dvd 6015 player a few months back... (might be half a year now, i guess)

see, here's my problem...

one day, lexing wont play anything... so i will watch my dvds on my hdtv.. after a while (like 3 days tops) my lexing will play again and it's perfectly fine..then after a few dvd marathons again, it wont play again... i wont use it for a couple of days, then it's perfectly fine, until, boom. it happened again...

now, suddenly, my hdtv got this kind of behavior, only worst, if my lexing will play for a few days (or longer times) my hdtv will suddenly hung while im watching my dvds, then it will go blank...

im getting confused and all..

my hdtv is almost 3 years old... my lexing is almost half a year old.

is this normal? what should i do? what's wrong?

this "sickness" seems to mature, as now, my lexing remote control wont function anymore (it has brand new batteries) the player wont recognize the remote's function... so i bought a new remote, the player would only recognize the lower portions of the remote... the rest, and the most important (like the ntsc and pal option) wont read. i cant watch my splash dvd since then

p.s.

most of my dvd's are original, my only pirated dvds are my dvd series'. could this be a factor?

HOPE YOU CAN HELP ME OUT!

IM ACTUALLY PLANNING TO BUY A NEW BRANDED DVD PLAYER... i dont even know if it's worth it, especially if i can fix this glitch... cause im planning to buy a new tv instead... so because of this i'll just use the money to buy a original/branded dvd....

since we are in the topic... what is the best original brand dvd?

i just learned about subtitle files TODAY, and check agad ako sa pinoydvd kung may discussion about this.. tamang tama pala may nagmention dito 3 days ago lang...  :)

may mga na-dodownload akong divx movie  na may subtitle files.. i wondered what this was so nag-google ako. Pag sinanma mo pala ang 2 files na ito (SUB and IDX format) sa divx movie, and you play the movie on your pc, it will play with the subtitles on. Galing! kala ko DVD lang meron nito.. now ang gusto ko naman e magplay din sya sa LEXING 906 ko. I burned a DVD w these 3 files.. pero di lumabas ang subs.

Yung question mo ba is for the newer version of Lexing? doon ba pwede? Di pwede sa Lexing 906? Or baka pwede using other formats like SRT. (I understand kasi na may diff formats ang subtitle files, pero puro SUB yung meron ako. I think pwedeng i-convert using a utility pero di ko pa natry)

Can anyone share their experiences regarding this? May ibang thread ba about this?

And if di talaga kaya ng 906 , option ko (short of buying a new player) is to re-encode the divx file incorporating the subtitles.. my advice ba kayo dyan what utility to use?  Yung sana di masyadong matagal mag re-encode at di mag-suffer ng degradation (lossless to lossless yata kasi pag ni-reencode ang divx uli?)

Kaya agree ako dyan sa sinabi nyo, someone start a community for us DIVX users!!  ;)

try AVI ReComp

Hi. I have the older model the DVD-DIVX 905, it may have the same way to activate the game mode. How do you get to the game mode? Does anyone have the manual for the 906 and 905?

Thank you. God bless, Proverbs 31
