thanks sir, i would still recommend the A10 if it's purely for HTPC though ... from time to time kasi i use this for heavy Visio diagrams when working on large network designs, and large Excel files kaya i needed extra power

i'm leaning towards amd a10 as well for htpc...all rounder and CHEAP IMO
but if you have other things to do that needs more processing ill go with i7 if budget permits as well..

My setup HTPC and all-rounder PC ... not much into gaming, so mainly movies, torrent rig, data storage, and Internet ... it's just connected to a 24-inch Samsung LED monitor and a pair of Bose Companion2 speakers - planning to improve the audio part this year, i've read about Soundblaster X-Fi Titanium HD which recommends to connect to a stereo Home Studio speakers (this is the part i'm not familiar with, when I research the web it points me to studio monitors and nearfield speakers which brands are not so common to me - what is recommended to connect a pair of standard BS speakers to the Soundblaster X-Fi Titanium HD, i'm just looking at a small device not a full blown AVR)

- Intel Core i7 3770k
- Asus Maximus V Formula (ROG Mobo)
- G.Skill 8GB DDR3 1600
- Corsair H60 (closed-loop liquid cooling)
- Palit GTX 650Ti GPU
- G.Skill 115GB SSD / Toshiba 1TB 2.5" HDD / Seagate 3TB HDD x2
- KWorld U405 TV Tuner
- Corsair HX620 PSU
- Corsair Carbide 500R Casing (Special White Edition)

nice gaming htpc you got there. :)  (OTT ang i7 mo. hihihi! ;D)

Depende po sa budget niyo at mga kailangan na features.

hd- any recent model would do
psu- choose a moderate wattage "80 plus" certified unit for efficiency
casing- uATX or ATX
ram- 8GB DDR3-1866 or higher preferred

master ivan bakit hindi ka nagrekomenda ng 1333?

For recent Intels okay yan Master Joko. Yung IGP ng Intel kasi optimized for memory-bandwidth limited situations (designed for IGP use talaga). For AMD APUs, less efficient ang caching since based off discrete graphics ang integrated GPU design nila so mas hungry sa memory bandwidth.

Pati yung CPU part, mas efficient ang caching ng Intel kaya natatago ang memory latency. Sa AMD medyo napapansin pag mabagal ang memory.

Official Memory Support of Common HTPC processors:
Intel Clarkdale - upto DDR3-1333 (i3, i5) / upto DDR3-1066 (Celeron, Pentium)
Intel Sandy Bridge - upto DDR3-1333 (Pentium G8xx, i3, i5, i7) / upto DDR3-1066 (Celeron, Pentium G6xx)
Intel Ivy Bridge - upto DDR3-1600 (Pentium, i3, i5, i7), upto DDR3-1333 (Celeron)
AMD Llano - upto DDR3-1866 (A6, A8) / upto DDR3-1600 (E2, A4)
AMD Trinity - upto DDR3-1866 (A6, A8, A10) / upto DDR3-1600 (A4)

That being said, di naman masyado matakaw sa memory bandwidth ang video playback. So if budget-limited, going with slower but more ram can help (4GB of DDR3-1333 will likely outperform 2GB of DDR3-1866 in most real-world use, for example).

Just bought this for my AMD E350 HTPC

Tried playing some BDs using TMT5.  Video is not as smooth and it was jittery.  Thought it was the limitation of the proc but when I played my BDs using PowerDVD ok na ok!!!

Had a BD marathon earlier and am happy with it.  I also ripped 2 BDs to the Hard drive using Makemkv and it delivered.   ;) ;) ;)

Not bad for P2990 from CDRking.

Yup BD ROM lang and not writer.  But even with this, you can rip BDs to your hard drive i.e. Blurays to BD ISO, BDMV or MKVs.  Can't burn lang to a BD, CD or DVD.  I do not burn as often to discs anymore thus I do not need that extra feature.   ;)

Market Market.  I guess you'll find these on big CDRKing stores.  Not available at all branches coz it is a slow moving product.  Isipin mo even big computer chain stores such as PCExpress, Octagon, Villman don't have it on stock.  Order basis lang.

not much difference between the 2, but if you're just adding memory, it's best to buy the same one as the existing memory modules to avoid complications ... last dec., i bought 8GB G.Skill Ripjaws 1600 (2 x 4GB) for PhP 2k
