Mother Board: ASUS F1A55-M LX3 FM1

Add a dedicated graphics adapter if you wanna play games decently. An HD 7770 or higher would be useful.

AMD Llano APUs are very efficient when idle, but can consume a lot when gaming. if you really want a power efficient rig, I recommend getting a really good power supply. ;)

My HTPC setup can play NBA2K12 with max settings on a 110 PJ screen. I believe you don't need a quadcore and core 2 is enough for movie and some games.  ;) ;)

Sir i would like to ask if ATI 4850 support bitstreaming HD audio - DTS-HD & TrueHD.
formatted my PC and follow these instructions --- http://www.mediasmartserver.net/2010/02/02/guide-setting-up-bitstreaming-with-your-windows-7-htpc-part-i/ and still the same, it only shows DTS. :(

For ATI, the lowest model that can bitstream HD Audio is HD5450. For NVIDIA, GT430.

Granted that your hardware and media are okay: Kung original na content-protected disc siya, hindi siya dapat makasira pero possible na hindi siya magplay. Minsan makikita siya ng computer as a data disc or magpopop ng software sa autorun, and in some cases eh hindi lang talaga makikita ng computer as readable format.

Medyo bihira sa local distribution ang protected discs. Pero kung imported yung disc, medyo madaming mga copy-protected sa ibang markets. Tignan mo kung may nakasulat sa disc about it, or kung walang CDDA logo yung disc.

I also have an Asrock ITX board and installed HD6450 which has a low profile adapter very much the same as the HD5450.  I also have an NVIDIA GT520 na low profile din which is also good for ITX builds.  ;)

Did you configure the CDROM properties ? if not right click CDROM go to properties, select music files choose player. Also try to input proper codecs like cccp or Klite then choose classic media player as default player. Another thing have you installed iTunes?

Now if you've done all of the above, and the CD still cannot be read (but can be read by a CD player) then it's probably a hardware issue e.g. the way the data was burned on the CD etc.

Yung 4850 ko walang HDMI port. DVI lang lahat...

Regarding audio sa Video cards, same lang ba compared to using dedicated audio cards? It's more convenient than having a sound card for me.

If you're using a video card with proper HD audio support, wala dapat kaso sa audio versus the HDMI audio adapters ng Asus and Auzentech + your 4850 basta wala kang compatibility issue.

High Jitter interface ang HDMI to begin with, so mas malaking factor ay ang receiving end kung particular ka sa sound quality.

Mas mura ang new video card kesa sa HDMI sound adapter, so mas practical siyang solution. You also get better video quality with today's graphics adapters, saka HDMI 1.4a support.

Bought a 5-meter HDMI cable and connected it from my HD4850 to Pioneer VSX-1021-K.

HD4850 doesn't have HDMI out, fortunately may nahukay akong DVI-HDMI adapter and it worked. I can get both video and audio running. Also the DTS and Dolby formats.

Inconvenient lang kasi 1680x1050 lang resolution ng monitor ko. Ma change yung icons when I switch displays. :(

Good am sir. I haven't tried it yet but I think hindi pa pwede in this series. Dts-hdma and dolby trueHD for sure mayron na sa HD5*** and above series.

That's why I'm planning to upgrade my card to HD7770 (After 4 years without a single upgrade. Lol)
