The HD7770 isn't that big (at least the board isn't). It's just a full height card na madalas dual-slot cooler, pero in terms of length maikli lang siya. Basta kaya ng case na full height and may extra slot beside the x16 slot, chances are pasok yan. :)

For really compact casings, there's the HD7750 low-profile single slot solution.

HD 7750 is better than HD 6550D + HD 6670 crossfire. Crossfire relies on profiles to work well with applications, so it does not work in all cases (and it doesn't work for video at the moment). The HD 7000 series also has a slight image quality advantage over the HD 6000 series.

pansin ko lang bakit mas preferred ang ati for ht instead of nvidia?

Because AMD (or ATi) has had the lead in video quality in consumer video for quite some time now and offers better built-in video processing features. AMD's past 3 (and Intel's past 2) GPU generations have offered such great video, in all honesty. Nvidia has been trying to close the gap recently (and they've made quite some progress with the Geforce 500 and 600 series), but they're still behind AMD's and Intel's solutions (particularly with noise/artifact reduction and video conversion).

Nvidia offers advantages in some other aspects, but they're not quite the HTPC darling because they haven't polished their video processing to match the competition. It seems like they're just realizing this market now, as their high end products up until the Geforce 500 series did not support HD Audio bitstreaming.

I like both AMD and Nvidia, and I use both solutions. However, I handle video processing via software when running my Nvidia-based rig to work around Nvidia's video issues.

mas nauna kasi silang nag support ng 3D video pero sabi nga ni brader stagea walang HD Audio bitstreaming

HD 5850 can support 3D output, but does not offer UVD support for BD 3D (you may be able to make it work via software).

Mga boss, is it okay if I'll add 2 more RAM sticks that have different brands with my current 2x2GB rams?

But they're all PC2-6400 DDR2-800

Since you're using a P45, chances are you'd be okay. There are cases when the BIOS selects the wrong memory timing and/or voltage for mixed memory, and in such cases you'd likely have to enter these things manually. It just works automatically in the majority of cases, however.

HD 5850 can support 3D output, but does not offer UVD support for BD 3D (you may be able to make it work via software).

Sir Ivan, my HTPC has ATI HD6450 has AMDHD3D technology.  I have played my videos via PowerDVD 12 and DVDfab Media Player.  Both are 3D compatible but both media players only show the 3D BD ISO in 2D.  Is your post above the reason why this is so?

Hi Doc,

The HD 6450 has UVD 3 (which supports BD 3D). It's the HD 5000 series (UVD 2.2) and older models that lack this functionality. What screen are you using? Have you gone through the 3D configuration of your player?

I've read a lot forums and the problem is common.  I couldn't find any concrete solution to this.  Seems like the problem is only for 3D BD ISO but no problem in 3D BDs.  Causes stem from the ripping of the BDs to ISO.

I'll go back again to the settings.  Maybe I missed on something.

That's also an option. Because of the lack of UVD 3, a system using HD 5000 series graphics requires far more CPU power to run 3D (and you're limited to full-screen use).

Here's a 6-core CPU being taxed to about half capacity:
