I recently bought a toshiba panel (led tv 32ps200). It's good. I am using it also as a secondary pc monitor. My problem is, I can't seem to get the hdmi audio working.

If you're using HDMI 3, make sure you select "HDMI" instead of "PC" in your TV's settings menu (under "PC/HDMI 3 Audio"). Select "Digital" under "HDMI 3 Audio" after confirming the prior step.

Pag nawalan ng audio feed ang AVR, it takes a while before it relocks to a signal feed. Di pansin with movies and music since quiet naman talaga sila sa simula unlike yung test tone na sinasabi mo.

so do i need to put it on the hdmi 3 slot? sige will try that!

DVI does not carry audio signal ... those headers are intended for other usage - e.g. front panel audio ... you will be deviating to standards, hence it will be at your own risk ... at the same time, you cannot refer to the manufacturer to verify why it's not working ... and since you're output is just to the TV (likely stereo only), why not just use an RCA cable to the audio input to make it work (guaranteed that this will work - you can escalate to the manufacturer if not) ... just my opinion anyway
yep thanks for the suggestions. yep i know this is a do it at your own risk thing. right now i would like to try to have an hdmi only para di hassle sa wires kasi medjo malayo ang tv sa cpu eh. pero if no luck then prolly i'll stick to the rca route.

No, this is just in case you used HDMI 3. The other ports default to this setting.

If you're using the SPDIF header on your motherboard, you should be using that as your output.

make sure your video card supports it, and be very very careful.  wala na yata warranty yan 9800 mo :)

tried it but to no avail. tried both hdmi slot 1 and slot 3, changed the settings both on tv and pc playback device ganun parin. haay..if wala talaga then i will be using nalang talaga the rca route.

The GTS 250 does not stream digital audio. You'd need to hookup the internal SPDIF connector to your motherboard's (or sound card's) header to enable audio through the HDMI out (if your graphics card has one). Without this, you'd need to use a separate connection for audio. I suggest using a different graphics adapter though (especially if you're after features like HD Audio bitstreaming and Auto Lipsync).

If your motherboard has HDMI, then you can also use that instead (the P55A-G55 does not have one, but I'm not sure if this is your mobo model).

You can check out current AMD and Nvidia graphics solutions.

Are you hooking the PC up to an AV Receiver / AV Pre-Pro via HDMI? If so, then it likely makes sense to do so (at least if the AV Receiver supports HD Audio and/or Lipsync).

Any discrete adapter in the AMD Radeon HD 7000 series or Nvidia Geforce 600 series should be able to handle basic HTPC needs. Higher models in these lines can handle extensive video post-processing.

Other intended uses like games and content-creation may be greater determinants for this purchase.

I dunno.. While watching a movie, i paused it and went to adjust something on the avr so i went to osd and made some adjustment, ok naman atnaka display sa tv, kaso pag exit ko osd, tv is blank, hdmi 1 lang on upper left side, avr display sayshdmi 1 no source...

Turn off ko muna avr then turn on para mag connect...
