Masakit na po ang likod ko sa kaka-masilya at leha :-\...buti na lang at puede nga pala yung car buffer na sander...bukas paint job naman...i just stapled the screen onto the frame, ayush naman...tight.

Will start disconnecting gears tonight to make way for the stand that will replace my manual pull down.

'am excited here to try it out na... ;D
...hoping that it will not be a disappointment. But then again, i had fun building this screen.
So, ok na for me whatever the outcome will be.

And once all is set...Chief Mark, kayo na po bahala mag pasensya sa maliit kong room but it will be an honor to have you visit here sa St Rose...together with Kagawad Aynz...and Master J and my neighbors, of course...malapit lang naman kayo. Yung mga di nakarating last time...come on down. Kaya lang...pag tatlo na tayo sa room e di na tayo kasya...kaya by two's lang ang pagsilip sa experimento...hahaha.

Will post pics when completed. ;D

Ok. Approved. Set na tayo tentative date.  :)

Kasarap pala ng feeling...natapos na almost ang project.
Happy with the results...i just need to make a few adjustments.  ;D ;D ;D

Eto na po...

Painting done. Excited to put the speakers in place...

I can already imagine.

Sidekick drilling the holes to attach the outside frame.

PJ screen now in place. ;D

Eto na...Wanted to see the effect so I added blue light...i think i'll change the placement of the light source and color... :D

Happy to see that the speakers are well hidden behind the screen...i can't tell talaga.
;D Some quick shots...dark and bright scenes just to check...

Time to watch a few movies when I get a chance... ;D ;D

I tested some scenes from various movies tonight and well, iba talaga po mga braders if the dialogue is coming directly from the screen. Personally, i think that this reason alone is making this experimento a success. :D
Will try to do some more listening and watching next week...medyo busy na starting tomorrow e... :-\

Thanks Doc! I was not that ok with this shot sa totoo lang...not the effect I wanted to show...but excited to share this set-up.  Kaya post na din. ;D

I think that my screen material is too close to the edge of the black frame. So, i will most likely push it back by an inch or so. (leave a small gap in between) It is making the edge of the frame light up kasi/reflection problem...kahit na matte black finish.

More noticeable on this shot...look at the top edge of the screen frame.

Medyo sa sound muna ako nag focus...my screen is still off..yung angle siguro ng stand/screen.
I have excess image and keystone issue on the left side.
Walang keystone correction ang 8350... >:(

As far as light source for the effect, I think that a small spot light directed towards the speakers will be more appealing to the eye.

Small tweaks na lang... ;D

Onga bro...ganun din sana plano ko kaya lang talagang walang lugar...false wall kasi talaga dapat. Kaya nagawan ko nalang ng way at least for the center/s man lang. Most of us here probably like the idea na wala kang makikita sa harap except for the screen..yun sana target ko for the next room. :D

hahaha. Tuloy naman talaga ang new room...kaya lang, may kasamang bahay..yun ang problema. :-\
Kaya ipon-ipon pa muna ulit. ;)

I was thinking of having the material dyed black...just to see if it will work on a false wall with the front L/R naman behind it. Pero matagal pa ito brader...wait, wait lang muna ako.  :D

I like a wide soundstage kasi sa movies...i might end up with a bigger screen than i originally wanted if i do the norm-all front LCR behind the PJ screen.

Thanks bro ricky! Di naman pro ano? 2 days lang nagmasilya at nagleha and paint. :-\
Minadali pa coz i'm out this weekend. >:(

The biggest plus factor for me on this experiment is that I am actually enjoying the movie more so now that the sound is really coming from the screen. Parang nag disappear yung center ko...it's like every word is coming out from the mouth...hehehe. Mababaw lang kaligayahan ko dito sa project.  :D

Most of us will probably appreciate this set-up because ang dilemna ko before (like others siguro) is that I am never satisfied with the positioning of my center speaker. Either masyadong mababa or mataas and it's really off sa image on screen. That's why i even experimented with having one center on top and and both sides of my flat panel at one point.

Now medyo luminis pa yung center portion ng gears kasi nabawasan ng speaker. ;D

Just let me know when you are free so I can drop by and experience your new creation.

If ok with you I will also invite Joel "jopet" who will be transferring to our village with february or early march and he will be setting up his own HT.  And malupet din ang plano niya cause he will using Von Schweickert speakers for HT  :o :o :o.  Also si ED din from Santa Rosa Vill 1, one of our tweaker friend.
