It was intended for pure 2-channel music sir  :D

There was a time i was into HT, but now only my kids use it for gaming... not too much into movies atm.
I still have my ancient setup in the attic though, still rocks occasionally in tandem with the ps3 when we watch BD's.
Maybe when i come back in december, i'll consider overhauling my HT  ???
Sana ma-approve-an ni kumander ang justification  ;D

Good luck sa approval sir! Saludo ako sa gears mo!

Mga ka-kosa,

Salamat muli sa mainit na welcome... you're all so kind. Iniwan ko na muna pansamantagal ang Rotel-B&W toys ko...  :'(  :'(  :'( balik-trabaho muna... Andito na ulit ako sa Malaysia... sa Dec na lang siguro tayo magkita-kita for a beer or two hehehe... masyadong maigsi yung bakasyon ko recently :)

I noticed something very different when i compared the music coming out from my Rotel-B&W combo compared to my NAD-Focus Audio combo... the glaring difference is parang hindi busog sa power ang mga speakers ko dito sa malaysia mga pre  ::) Malayo compared sa pang-aabusong ginagawa ng RB1090 sa 705's ko  ;D  ;D  ;D talaga nga namang busog na busog ;D

Perhaps the bigger room here in malaysia is affecting it? 8.5m x 5m kasi ang kinalalagyan dito compared sa 5mx5m sa san juan.

Which leads me to my hypothetical question mga bro :)

What do you think would happen if i buy another C272, and operate them in bridge mode so i'll have 2 monoblocks (400w each kapag naka-bridge, although according to the C272 manual, the speaker resistance should not have nominal values less than 8ohms - not a problem kasi yung FA ko is 8ohms naman)

What do you think mga pre?  ;D nakaka-adik kasi yung naging tunog ng Rotel-B&W combo ko sa san juan eh, hehehehe.... yung 705 at yung FA ko nga pala, halos pareho lang in terms of price, drivers, weight, at volume ng kaha, so i assume di sila nagkakalayo ng performance... also i think i've got better speaker cables here in malaysia, naka bi-wire din ako dito, sa san juan i never got a chance to bi-wire....

Appreciate any inputs, para maka-biyahe na papuntang KL this weekend, ahahahahahaha!!!!

naku disgrasya pag na-scramble  :'(

Medyo maingay lang ng konti yung kabayo, dinig ang noise while listening to soft music, pero pag medyo ala-black sabbath or acdc na ang tugtog, it doesn't matter anymore hehehehe....

Hi All,

I'd like to plan for an HT, and am not sure on what gears to plan for atm. Hope you guys can help me on what and where to source, and an estimate of costs... I'm thinking of doing a mix and match of my 2 audio systems, while saving up for better equipment.

I would still like to play either (the hybrid and the valve integrated), on stereo mode, but both will be located in the living room. I still prefer the sound of tubes when listening to voice...

This is what's available:
A pair of B&W 705's
An RB1090
An AMX Bravo valve preamp
An RCD 1072
An RT 1080

A pair of B&W 685's
An AMX Overture EL34 integrated amp
A generic sony "play-anything" dvd player

A Denon htib 6.1 (bought in 2005 and gathering dust in the attic)
An infinity center speaker
An infinity subwoofer
A PS3 (for bluray)
A hyundai karaoke (for partying  ;D)
A Bada conditioner
A pioneer kuro

1. At the moment, i'm inclined to find the center speaker that would match my 705's
2. Am contemplating on going for a 7.x AVR - advice direly needed here
3. Either 2 above, or find a nice processor, 3-channels of 200W rotels (maybe an RB1080 for the middle left/right and a bridged 1070? for the center) - can i still use the AMX integrated for the 2 rears?
4. Help please...

I hope i can get all the gears before this coming december.
