Yes, the system does sound good... very good actually.
The valve preamp did wonders, at least for my taste.
Can't get enough of it pa, ahehehehehe.

Love the classic B&Ws and Rotel match-up. 

Am sure you'll get along well with another enthusiast who's an avid fan that combo - pareng Macdon.  ;)  You should compare notes  :)

Big tango for the compliments as well mga bro...

So far, am quite happy with the match-ups made. Seems the smoothness and warmth of the valve preamp synergizes well with the muscle (380wpc) of the RB1090. I think they complement each other. I don't know how to describe it in words mga bro, but only now have i fully "visualized" what happened on 2:54 of Private Investigations, Dire Straits. I thought i saw the friggin' takong of the guy (maybe Knopfler) hitting the floor... he took four steps and decelarated, and swerved, dragging his shoes. Sounded as if he was going towards the back, or rather away from the mic, if it's in front  ;D  ;D  ;D

It was intended for pure 2-channel music sir  :D

There was a time i was into HT, but now only my kids use it for gaming... not too much into movies atm.
I still have my ancient setup in the attic though, still rocks occasionally in tandem with the ps3 when we watch BD's.
Maybe when i come back in december, i'll consider overhauling my HT  ???
